Are searchable user created lobbies coming back?

Id really like some insight from a dev. After playing in the newest installment of the regulations. Its clear as day that this kinda inforcment will do nothing to stop people from crashing in lobbies. Its going to turn into a numbers game. Penalty systems do nothing to someone who only cares about ramming lobbies. We need a ranking system and a system in place for black flags. I play alot of pc sims/racing games. If nobody is penalised for crashing then its pointless. Ive been on this game since day 1. I have completely lost hope for this franchise. It was once a place we could come and have clean racing in public lobbies. Its been years since that has been the case. Only having hoppers has ruined this game. All we need is searchable user created lobbies. I mean really how hard could it be to put in the game? Is there some reason that you guys have thats stopping you from putting them in? Maybe none of you devs even play the game. The only dev i know that plays is JONK1969 and its not alot. The regulations is a step in the right direction but unless you guys implemented a system that black flags people, its all for nothing. A response would be great from a dev or some one who actually knows what the deal is. Thanks, Karma

Public lobbies are the one thing i really have missed since FM4 , that and gifting tunes and cars etc.
Public lobbies were great, you knew which lobbies where good and which to avoid, in the good ones there was always great, fun racing, brilliant banter and i found people to be far more helpful. I was gifted and gave out many cars and tunes and its where i learned to tune my own cars, i also got many FM friends through the public lobbies. In our lobbies we always asked what cars, class and tracks people wanted so the racing was always varied and usually fun and in most lobbies crashers etc were always swiftly dealt with.
Bring them back i say!.

Yes, we all want then back, they have stated it’s the most requested feature by far, but they have also stated they cant bring them back because of Microsoft who owns t10

Do you know why Microsoft object to forza having searchable lobbies? This is the main thing missing in forza and the thing most people want, seems weird they’d not want to keep their users happy.

I cant find the exact post they made on here, I’m pretty sure it was in interview posters by one of the mods… it may be on the legacy forums but from what I remember Microsoft wanted all of their games (not just forza) to be pick up and play as they thought this is the best way for the casuals as has been mentioned in this thread that the custom public lobbies could leave newer or worse players in a bad spot and ot wanting to continue playing. There was also talks of this on the pcars forums where they said they ran into this same issue and had to negotiate some sort of work around for their mp system. I think their game being multi platform had something to do with them. Being able to do it

What does Microsoft have to do with the fact they can’t bring this feature back?

Only in our dreams. I said it before and I’ll say it again. They can stop production of race regulations right now, put back in custom public lobbies where a host can kick insubordinate players and let us regulate the lobbies. And they can probably save money and time doing so in the process since this is something they have done in the past well they should already be very familiar with doing it right.

Bring back custom public’s. Xbox clubs is a waste. I don’t want to party up with people. I just want to race randoms 24/7 nordschliefe b class with no assists. Is that so hard???

Well I don’t really care about public custom lobbies, I prefear FRR.

What about… FRR in a custom public lobby. :smirk::smirk::smirk:

To be honest? I’ve never played with custom public lobbies since I started play Forza with motorsport 6 and I think at moment we don’t have the pool of players you had in fm4. The result could be empty public lobbies and I’m only playing public lobbies…

You don’t know what you are missing! As a PS4 and Xbox owner it’s so annoying that neither console has got an all round complete game… forza doesn’t have the online lobbies or qualifying sessions… GTsport doesn’t have the tracks or cars… Pcars doesn’t have the customisations… between them all is the ability to have a great game, yet they all fail in certain ways. I love forza, but public online lobbies is a basic requirement for an online racing game surely…

If only you knew the greatest that FORZA 1, 2 and 4 were…I have played every Forza since I picked up the original from circuit city. It was everything we wanted.

Imagine a world were on only one race it takes some one bashing and they are gone immediately. I know its hard to believe but there was once a time that happened.

I wonder why in all these threads about this subject that no one ever mentions how the feature was abused in those days. It wasn’t all peaches and cream back then and that is what probably led to CPL’s demise. It was a BRUTAL place for a new driver to be.

It may not have been peaches and cream but it’s better than the diarrhea soup we are being force fed now.

I chuckled when writing that…

Yes there were! You try your best but still if you made a small misjudgment and touched one of the group players, the whole group turned on you and either booted you or made the next races terrible. But it was ok for them to run into you though and turned it into your fault.

I’ve never had that issue a single time, perhaps you were at fault and didn’t realize it. The way I see people play this game now it wouldn’t surprise me. And if you are at fault you at the very least wait for that person and let them get in front of you again.
