Very silly that I can equip “Race Exhaust” before I can even equip “Street Flywheel”, and seems much worse in terms of benefit to the player, which, for the current system, is almost nothing.
It’s more fun, more realistic and a creates a gentler learning/tuning curve to gradually increase the tier of ALL the car’s parts. One of the current system’s most glaring issues is how linear and constant it is between cars. Unlocking the same upgrades in the same order for every car is not only painfully boring and repetitive, it also means that you simply aren’t allowed to improve every car at the same pace, since some cars (and drivers!) have no need for better handling or tires, but desperately require engine upgrades to perform better.
A combination would probably be best, where you’d unlock Street versions of, say, Anti-Roll Bars, Tire Compounds and Camshafts at one level, then the next level you’d unlock Street Springs, Displacement and Transmission. But almost anything would be better than the implementation we currently have, which achieves virtually nothing but frustration and boredom.
