I am trying to beat all championships in hot wheels dlc and i ran into some ai in t rex tear up that were putting in lap times in the top 20 in the world. i am playing on average difficulty.
Blue print the race and change the type of car you are using. then set the blueprint for that car only.
This game is a bit weird because you might pick a lower difficulty but sometimes there’s some rabbits on the grid with comparable performance to actual Unbeatable AI. At least one AI car will always make your life miserable, but their performance depends on the track and your own skills.
Now, Top 20 level, I haven’t yet seen, though I suspect popular tracks are harder to win at due to the way Drivatars are supposed to work.
The T-rex tear up is one race that the AI has an advantage for no reason. I have taken the spiral perfectly and still been overtaken by 3 cars while doing it… frustrating doesn’t begin to describe it.
Lower your difficulty even lower is my suggestion. That race and it’s reverse brother are the only ones I had to lower mine to pro.

This gives me F1 2010 Catalunya vibes… AI were scrubs everywhere else, then at Catalunya you found yourself racing against 23 Sennas. 
Ive made a comment before on a similar post(don’t hate me for what I’m about to say) have you tried tuning a optimizing your car for that track? If you have then you should have a chance, run rivals a couple of times and get a line or two set so when you’re racing ai its a bit easier, but what do i know im just a 15 year old who mainly runs off-road classes on unbeatable and is still roughly 5+ seconds ahead of the second place ai.
Yea I play rivals, I post times in the top 1% of the top 1%. I know all about tuning and I laugh at the unbeatable AI in every race… except those 2.
