hi, i have been trying to access Forza 6 multiplayer for the past 2 months with no success. The error always is ‘Unable to find a game session’. I am in South Africa and have a 1Mbps ADSL line and am able to play all other games online with no problems.
In addition i have purchased the Porsche expansion and have tried the multiplayer with this, the error remains the same.
IPSEC on my router is enabled and i have done the power cycle a few times as well, with no Luck. (Also changed the DNS to 8888 as recommended on a few threads, still no luck)
I’m from South Africa too (Port Elizabeth) and wish I could help you mate, but unfortunately I have the exact same problem as you since two weeks ago. Had the same problem a few months back, but solved it then by opening all the required ports and upgrade my internet to a 10 MB ADSL line and all was good. Problem returned with the start of the Lambo SF series/Porsche expansion two weeks ago and since then the “failed to find a game session” message is all I get. Tried the alternative Mac thing too, but no success. Perhaps T10’s servers dont accommodate South Africa, LOL, I really dont know what to do or think anymore. Let me know if you find a solution, I will do same.
Thanks mate, appreciate the feedback. Atleast i know I’m not alone in this. Will keep searching for a solution and if i find 1 will let you know. Hopefully someone out there feels the need to help us.
I think I saw somewhere on a XB site that minimum required for MP is 3 up and 0.5 down. I’m way better than that and it still currently have the issue.
Got the same issue. I stay in Knysna. I havnt been able to do multiplayer or leagues since i got the game at launch. I run HSDPA+ 14 Down 3 Up latency ±250 ( On Xbox Test). I cant get ADSL or fibre in my area.
I know the latency is a bit to high but by some miracle the last two days Ive managed to get on twice. Once Im in the lobby with players i can stay and race without getting kicked once. It says weak connection but the game play is perfect. Had a blast lol. Then if i go out completely i cant go back in again. Im considering upgrading to wireless with a fibre backbone but if all you guys battle with decent connections Im thinking against that now.
Wont we have better results just starting a private multiplayer race and all the South African racers can just join a party and race?
Hi guys, really glad to hear from some fellow countryman, even if we’re stuck with a simmilar problem. Paunchy perhaps we should do your suggestion. I had issues for MP at launch, but sorted that out with advice from Snowowl and played leagues very often untill at time of the Porsche pack/start of the Lambo ST series. I’m a very keen league and Rivals racer, so Rivals is about all I (can) do now. My internet is a 10 MB ADSL line, but something still somewhere causes an issue. Just dont wanna contact Snowowl again now as he got enough on his mind for now. Really missing the league racing though.
So lets start the local multuplayer…anybody know how to kick it off. If turn 10 wont help…the it’s up 2 us i suppose. Aching 2 race with others instead of AI. Lets do this…if possible. Sorry to hear that this seems to be affecting many…
We can just all add each other on live, join a party and then one of us has to start a private multiplayer game. I’m on most evenings in the week and I’m always keen. Though for some reason i don’t understand my multiplayer is working for the first time since i got it the last 4 days. Even with a ping on my xbox of 430ms.
Shell we do a test tomorrow evening to see if this will work?

Its only the 4 of us for now. I suggest after tonights “practice” we start a proper thread to get more players from South Africa that is in the same position as us.
We can work out all the finer details as we go. Everyone should have a say in regards to what classes, who starts the private match etc. Just want to try keep everyone happy and involved.
I would suggest what ever we race we go with simulation damage and collision mode always on. This will promote clean racing. I’m so over playing pumper cars when i do manage to go online.
I will be on from 7:30 tonight. Hope to see you all there and it will be great if we can do this on a weekly basis. Like i said I’m on most week days in the evening and always keen
Can I please join in? I’m having the exact same issue: ‘failed to find game session’. F5, Horizon 2 and all other games work fine in MP. Even private lobbies are working in F6, but not public.

PS. Just a few things for ease -
I’m easy with both sim damage and collisions on or off, so I’ll go whatever you guys do.
I’m fine with all assist on or off, but in some of the higher class cars I prefer some of the assist.
I have very little ( more to none) experience in C and lower classes so don’t have any tuned cars in those classes either. I really don’t mind if you guys opt for that and will still join, but expect me then to be way back behind. In higher classes I should be able to follow more closely.
I always race clean, will always let you pass if you have better pace than me and grief on corner cutting (except in Rivals where it’s for sake of purpose).
Last but not least, I’m not a Pinnacle class driver and normally race Leagues (when I still could) in Elite class, so if you guys sprint ahead, I might be a bit behind.
Hope to see you guys on track, my MP connection permitting.

EDIT Forgot to add, I do have headphones, but audio in lobbies sometimes proofed troublesome.
My mic is fine as far as I know. Used it in many lobbys before, but I could not hear you guys. Could see on screen that my mic is active, but saw no audio activity on your side. I did see a few threads before discussing audio problems in private lobbys, so will see if I can find a solution there.
In any event, it was great to race with you guys online last night and good to know that the MP connection problem is not on my side. Communication is a small hurdle though as I was often unsure what’s happening when you guys dissappear. Perhaps we must set out a few guidelines untill communication is working properly, like car class(es) to be raced, restrictions and if there are any cars not allowed.
I also think we must start a new thread for this venture in the racing section as the mods might see our planning discussions as being side tracked from the thread theme.
Will have a look out on this thread for the plans ahead.

I’m with you FA. I like the higher clsasses myself but will take part in any race so everyone is covered for. Make sure your mics are ready! Very exited myself.
