Hmmm. This happens in both Forza 5 and Forza Horizon 2. Has anyone else encountered this, I couldn’t seem to find any similar issues anywhere online. Basically when I hit a wall, or get in a serious crash with another driver, all the FFB drops out. Once it happens the only way to rectify the problem is to turn off AND unplug my xbox. Then, and only then, when I plug it back in, turn it back on, and restart the game does the FFB return. In both games I have set my FFB and Vibration values in-game to 60% so the crashes are less intense and the issue happens less frequently. It still happens though and for consistent inner narrative I’m finding myself having to pretend that my driver is in hospital.
Also…
The ‘Start Engine’ button on the standard 458 Italia wheel kept falling off as I drove. I was constantly on hands and knees trying to find it on the floor to plug it back in so I could use the D-pad. Then one time I plugged the button back in orientated 90 degrees to the way it should go, and ‘click’, now it is set in there permanently, but the writing is at a 90 degree angle. I guess they printed the lettering on the wrong way in the first place.
…lol, I guess, but seriously it is an absolute joke. If I were Ferrari I would be so embarrassed buy the build quality of the Thrustmaster TX 458 base model. I have a GTE wheel and the ‘ecosystem’ pedals coming, frankly, they can’t get here fast enough. Why even offer this 458 plastic turd wheel? Why even bother producing those horrible base model pedals? Why not let us purchase just the bits and pieces we actually want?
Anyway, rant over, apologies. If you’ve read this far thanks for hanging in there. My main concern is the FFB cutting out, as a new wheel attachment and pedals won’t fix that particular problem.
Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks for reading.
