Turn 10, Why launch a game that is far from ready !

Unplayable? far from ready?..really? Been playing FM7 since the 29th and had no issues. Comparing the game to GT Sport is pointless, when it’s released it’ll be slaughtered on the forums just like every other game.

To be fair if you’ve had no issues you are lucky, my game has quite bad frame rate problems plus other issues, im still playing but ive a feeling this will be the last forza I purchase.

As for GT Sport being pointless I highly doubt that.

Forza appears to be more about money and gimmicks nowadays where as games like project cars are stepping up, GT is what it is and that’s why it has a huge following its certainly more focused on motorsport than Forza is and the physics are very very good .

Forza will always have a fan base and rightly so but I feel its fast becoming for the much younger generation.

Suprised no issues as I shall list mine.

  1. Booting up game causing Xbox One to switch off. Happened a few times to be now.

  2. No leagues at the moment.

  3. No Auction House.

  4. No E-X class rival events.

  5. Poor choice of multiplayer hoppers.

  6. Problems in multiplayer. Party chat switches to game chat every time you enter and exit mulitplayer.

  7. Terrible framerate issues occuring in private lobbies.

  8. Tunes only loading properly in main menu. These do not load properly in mulitplayer or freeplay.

  9. Locked tunes can be unlocked. This is a massive problem for those who have spent ages tuning their cars.

I am sure once the above is sorted then I believe FM7 will be a brilliant game.

This is very sad to admit. I’m approaching my late 30s and ever since my early 20s, I had been indulging in Forza. It now feels like a game centered around millenials and “cool kids with their super-advanced smartphones”. The game’s authenticity and attention to detail has gotten steadily muddier. However, FM6 was very likable right from the start. I’m quite displeased to say that FM7 is the first game that doesn’t (to me, at least) feel like a Forza game.

PCARS 2, aside from some of its bugs, pays attention to detail in a way that T10/MS can certainly learn from in a very positive way. And if anything, it will boost their sales even more. I think the additional investment into time and energy is well worth it. There’s a lot of content in FM7, but it’s somewhat low on quality. FM6 has quality bleeding off its edges.

Well, enough said.

I agree with everything. After seeing the priorities T10 has, when the patch came out and it didn’t change anything except the game turning more unstable (for me) and removing the things, that were harmful from their standing point, I decided to put this game aside for awhile and continue with actually playing the game, when there have been at least 3-4 more patches, which makes the game more or less enjoyable. I just practise some designing and do just enough races to not miss the special cars, when they roll out (specialty dealer). FH3 had a rough start on PC, but Forza 7 is in a completely other category (in a negative way).

Although I can understand (on some level) the corporate thinking of pushing out unfinished product because of deadlines (which is still bad), but, what I can’t understand or tolerate is the lying. The VIP drama and, how they literally lied to our faces, when the damage control arrived on the scene after T10 staff member had stated, that the came only uses one CPU core, because of smaller latency times (which made me roll my eyes), and they claimed that:

No! No, it doesn’t use all the cores that are available. One thread is at 100% and others are barely doing anything. FH3 had this issue also, but there they managed to fix it long before Forza 7 came out.

Big Forza fan at 52 years old and have played em’ all

But TURN10 have a lot of work to do on this one !

  1. On Xbox One game still crashing occasionally back to home screen.

  2. Braking markers missing on many tracks (Big problem for an In-Car Onboard player like me)

  3. No Class lobbies yet?

  4. Online multiplayer is a mess when trying to get in a lobby with friends.

  5. Keep losing party chat when entering an Online lobby.

  6. Tuners can’t alter tunes on the fly anymore, they have to quit out and go back in again, and we call this progress.

  7. Communication has been the worst of any Forza experience thus far.

Communication goes a long way TURN10. I really hope you sort this mess and improve communication.

The multiplayer is complete trash in this title. Too limited, too buggy, too many features missing.
-Rivals boards are flooded witch glitched cars (like 3 classes higher than what it is “locked” to), exlpoited assists and bugged tunes.
-No AI in private lobbies.
-party/game chat problem

And even such easy to implement features like going for a test drive right out of the tuning menu or on-the-fly tuning are missing.
Horrible lags while switching through cars in the car lot.
Game freezes during tuning.

It was released way too early.

Unfortunately Turn 10 have no control over their publisher’s orders.

I don’t see anything revolutionary added to FM7 to warrant all the extra issues/bugs. It’s the same 2 year cycle they’ve always had, so I think the push for 4K and the Xbox One X have caused all the trouble.

A 3 year development cycle and the return of PGR would greatly increase the quality of releases but I guess that’s wishful thinking.

Sadly this is what today’s gaming industry has become: release unfinished products and leave the tasks of finding bugs and glitches to us, the customers. Ubisoft, EA and Bethesda are among the worst offenders on that. And you’re naive if you think simply increasing the development cycle would allow them to make a more polished game. Look at what happens to Mass Effect Andromeda and Fallout 4.

Totally agree with you, guys !

The most frustrating part of this story is that we feel that Turn10 does not listen to the real racing enthusiasts we are, but simply respond to the injunctions of Microsoft.
It’s been years that we ask weekends complete (test laps, qualifications, etc …)
A more serious driving experience (clean driving, penalties)
Very frustrating !

Please, Turn10, listen us !!

I am just amazed by all of the glitches in this game from Turn10 and its just really depressing trying to play it especially since I still own Forza 6. I mean the weather, tracks and cars are probably the best looking that I have ever seen on a console system but I am pretty sure that no one asked or expressed the want to drive a night race on Virginia International Raceway with no headlights which is an awesome glitch on a 5 lap race on a pitch black track. I am also surprised that we have no drivatars in the multiplayer private matches which makes my group play the jaw dropping 6 classes of open demolition derby I mean multiplayer which is such a good time, I especially enjoy getting wrecked on almost every corner because you get caught up in the washing machine and since your wrecked what seems like every corner you just cannot get away from the non drivers. Turn10 used to be a guaranteed awesome game out of the box and I would of hoped that all of the game developers would of taken a page out of Battlefield 4’s release issues. I know I am not alone when I say that if I knew I was going to buying a beta type of game and have all of the issues I would of never bought the VIP edition and I would of waited months to buy it when it was on sale or something. I was playing last night and going through my cars list and noticed that all of the Forza edition cars bonuses have been changed to a percentage instead of a set price but you cannot fix the glitches like no head lights or the car gets a head start and you have no in game sound or the multiplayer issue with the chat that changes your party chat to the game chat and it doesn’t just do it once but twice until you get into the actual game lobby you have selected, yeah that seems really important to fix the bonuses that don’t affect the game play a bit but not fix the real problems that affect the play of the game. I actually think you should still give the in game credits for using those cars because those credits don’t make up for the fact that you have a ton of people that dropped a $100 bucks to buy a beta edition of Forza 7, I predict that I will be playing Forza 6 in the very near future and trying to recover a fraction of the money I spent on this game by getting rid of it.

Really confused how you would take a great game and just destroy it and just really disappointed that the amount of money that I spent on this game I could of just kept it and continued to play the shorter version of the beta for free and continued to play Forza 6.

Trees are 2D in FM6 as well, and im fairly confident ine every curcuit racing game.

Really great post lady! thumbs up

This is just not acceptable and it seems its now becoming an industry trend. That’s part of the problem, but T10 being an AAA game developer… Why are THEY a part of this trend? Aren’t they the one setting examples and benchmarks? FM7 to me does not feel like a T10 product, sadly speaking.

This here is really great advice. Any developer can learn loads from this. Why cram so much on your schedule so as to not pay each game the attention it deserves? I say stretch the dev cycle to 3 years while providing updates and additions for the current game and have a separate team for One X. Why do we base Xbox One users need to suffer just because FM is now available on 3 platforms? Bad move IMO - Forza should have remained an Xbox One exclusive. And they could have found other ways to improve the visuals rather than add a “touch up” of 4K + HDR.

GTS is a very different approach from what has gone before. It will be interesting to see how it goes. If forza switched cycles to 3 or even 4 yrs each respective game would sell quite a lot more individually but collectively probably not.

I can’t agree that anyone is being ripped off with this game. There is a ton of content, the game is huge - maybe some of you guys are just burnt out on forza?

I think that this forza is great and yeah its missing features but my main issue is with PC crashing… I cant enjoy all the amazing content when my game crashes in hopper lobbies waiting for the race to start almost every single race…

I have been in forza and on xbox since FM2, I got myself a PS4 Pro and GTS the other day, and am very impressed. I haven’t had a PS since the original one.
The downturn of FM series as a racing/community game has been in effect from FM4 onward IMO, and this one may have put the nail in the coffin for me. I enjoy the car physics and feel of FM7 but the more I play GTS them more its stands out as being afar more polished game.
Once FM7 has been patched to a reasonable state, I will finish my game, but I doubt I’ll be back after that’s done :frowning:

GT have new an MP Try and it looks good. Forza what have you? ah loot boxes…
No features fore us Hardcore Forza Fans. Thank you Turn 10. Thx
