Dude you have an entire month to improve. Instead of looking at it as a lost cause, look at it as an opportunity to seriously better your skills. Whether you end up getting it in the end or not, you will be better off for having improved.
Some people can only play 2hours a week. And this time set by Triton is by far the hardest challenge I’ve seen. I obtained all unicorn at least once in FM4, and usually without any struggle.
Currently after 1h of trying I’m at 1:41.6xx. I’ve never been so far from the goal time, nor has afaik the goal time been so high in the ranking.
But I know I don’t have the time to improve much.
You know, once you get older you have a job, social life, other people who need you. You can’t play like 10+ hours A day or week.
Someone who is older, has a job, a social life, and other people who need you shouldn’t be complaining about not getting a single car in a video game with hundreds to choose from.
Seriously, you really feel anybody will be better off from trying to go fast in this PIG of a car? I have wasted 5 hours of my life the last 2 nights and right now all I want to do is break something. And this is just trying to get into the 1:42’s. This is about as frustrated as I have ever been playing ANY Forza. And did I mention that I now HATE the track, also.
The wording says “ONLY” and February, so it will be offered sometime down the line (assuming). On the subject of unicorns, I think the only unicorns should be special liveries, that’s it, not whole base cars. Everyone should have access to every car. (whether they are available to play online or not, everyone has different priorities)
Just to play the other side of the coin (those who want unicorns to be back, etc.) If this was indeed a true unicorn, then perhaps for ultimate edition owners, contents of ultimate edition should never be released at all, ever. A unicorn pack for UE owners only. As an example, Fast & Furious Car Pack (or insert your car pack here), should be locked to ultimate edition owners only. (removed from the deluxe pack as well) It doesn’t have to be a pack, anything could be locked for UE owners only. I guarantee nobody would like that, so those favoring unicorns to be real unicorns should think twice.
It goes both ways.
You can’t segment players and I believe Turn 10 knows this already so their wording with “only” and a month should preclude some offering down the line. Whether that’s paid or not, that’s another topic.
I feel with the unico… unicor… Ahem sorry, unicorn cars, Turn 10 are making an attempt to bring the community back together again, just like Forza 4 was more than able to do. That’s why the challenges are community based, like the leagues and now the Community Bounty Hunter rivals events are back, and from which game? Forza 4! See, the most community based game, with the most success in the entire franchise, has set and example that unfortunately Turn 10 wasn’t able to replicate very well with Forza 5. Unicorn cars didn’t exist for the first time since Forza 2 and it had the smallest track and car list since Forza 2 as well. Tracks for sure, cars I’m not sure but it’s probably close.
I feel by Turn 10 implementing these cars is a way to almost apologize for what Forza 5 had brought, or lack there of. Forza 6 may still have it’s flaws, and it’s complainers about not having a storefront nor an auction house, but unfortunately those are most definitely not coming back for sure, after what a wreck they turned out to be on Forza 3 and 4.
Just remember this, these unicorn cars started being modeled at least 6 months ago, so this has been planned since before the game was released. I’m sure Turn 10 has a plan for those who don’t end up obtaining these cars while they’re available. Maybe an unlock of sorts, that would unlock all of the unicorns in the “Find a Car” menu.
Anyways, as for now, I personally do like having the challenge of trying to obtains these cars, it kinda makes Forza more fun again.
the unicorn car pack is a terrible idea. just as releasing anniversary cars, vip cars and special cars you received when you pre-ordered from a certain seller. if everyone gets the cars, then where is the incentive to buy the ultimate editions? this is the same as participation trophy’s. if you want the cars EARN THEM and quit griping about wanting something you didn’t work for. i will not be able to beat thhe time set in the bounty due to my physical limitations. i am not going to complain about it because that’s life and i deal with it. hope you have good luck with the bounty hunter challenge!!!
I believe unicorn cars should be available to unlock once every 100 levels and if you don’t land on it in the spin, oh well. This could just be an addition to they way they’re already set up.
Please edit your quote trains to keep them tidy please.
I find it amusing that some people complaining about t10 supposed rethinking of the unicorns are the aame people who want them to rethink other game decisions like the ah or sf.
I haven’t been playing the newer Forza games as long as some of the people here… I admit it. I got Forza 4 near the end of its life cycle and was fortunate enough to be gifted two or three unicorn cars before they stopped offering them. Do I feel ripped off or cheated because I can’t get the others? No. These games have so many cars in them that not getting two or three in the end is not going to be a dealbreaker. Just picked up the XB1 yesterday so hoping to drive with you all soon in FM6, but… I won’t be losing any sleep over the fact that I am not even in the same time zone as a player like Triton. If I can’t make the time to get the car, then it wasn’t meant to be and I won’t let it ruin the experience for me.
Reading through this thread is hilarious. Most of you sound like you grew up in the no child left behind generation. Why do you feel so entitled to EVERYTHING? It’s a digital car for god’s sake, it wont be the end of the world if you don’t get it.
I think what is actually the underlying irritant is that Turn 10 said there would no longer be unicorn cars, yet here they are. It’s not surprising, really, given how dishonest they have been about other aspects of the game (i.e. “tracks not returning because they aren’t up to snuff” while some tracks that are in game are nearly a decade out of date, “all cars being recreated for the new generation console” while having the same modeling errors present for at least 3 iterations of the game, etc.). Personally, I’m more perturbed about being lied to (excuse me, being intentionally provided with inaccurate information) than I am about the unicorn cars making a comeback.
