Tuning help needed for 2016 Ford Shelby GT350R

( I think I originally posted in the wrong area, sorry if this is wrong too… Help is still welcome! ) Hello, I’ve played Forza Horizon, Horizon 2, and recently Horizon 3.

I’ve never really worried about, or played with the tuning until recently when I started racing in online adventures. I realized that, I simply CANNOT keep up with anyone in the lobbies.
I tried maxing out my car(s) and realized, no matter what I do, the majority of the time, I STILL cannot keep up with the pack.
I’m not a perfect driver, but I try to drive normally, not smashing into everyone in corners (As most of everyone else does) but nothing seems to help me…

So, recently I tried tuning up the 2016 Ford Shelby GT350R. I got decent by using some online video tutorials, and some tips here on the forums, but still cant seem to find a good balance, too much understeer… I still struggle with the equations I should use to determine the springs, dampening and such. So, I know this has been a long post (Kind of) So could someone help me out with a good tune for the 2016 Ford Shelby GT350R? I’m really looking for good cornering, but overall I just want something to assist me in racing, so speed would probably be good to…
Also, it would be nice if I could see the tune in a series of screen shots, but any help is welcome!

Thanks!

I’ve got one, give it a try and if you like it add me & I’ll talk you through it

Edit; the only difference between the two tunes is tire pressure. ‘maxed v1’ is for slip, ‘maxed grip’ for grip.

Don’t try to make tuning an equation. Go out on the road and do fine tuning. You will find what you are missing by doing this.

I have a fairly good tune for the 350 under my gamertag, but my better tune is for my 2013 Mustang in S1, it has been a consistent winner for me and it has been complimented many many times for how fast and stable it is.

Tuning the GT350 for cornering is a bit of a chore if you want to drive on asphalt, though it can still corner well, it fairs much better on dirt. Depending on which class you’d like to tune it for (My main is S1, where most of the balance is.) you’ll have to make decisions on what you want to focus on. Too much handling will lead to not enough speed. I found a good balance by trying to go for as much acceleration as I could, which a V8 engine is good at doing.
Get some rally springs, make them as low as you can, perhaps rally tires as they offer the same amount of grip only with less point cost than the race tires. You’ll really have to play with the gearing and tire camber to find out good settings for you.

You should post this in the “Tuner’s Garage” section. Might find actual help there. But I’ll give you a quick bit of advice, every tuning slider has a description read them and then drive your car around a bit if your car has excessive understeer look for tuning elements that reduce understeer or that increase front cornering grip. I learned by trial and error and I am fairly good at tuning now, even tho I’m an average driver at best I can win races on a good tune.
