Tuning advice needed for Mazda and Subaru

Hi everyone,

I’m new to tuning and would greatly appreciate some tuning basics on creating an all around tune for Mazda and Subaru cars. Still relatively new compared to some who have hundreds of cars and millions of credits. Hoping to save or wait for the Mazda Furai and Subaru Cusco. I’m looking at the Ferrari FF at the moment. My most run cars are:

Subaru:
2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STi
1998 Subaru Impreza 22B STI

Mazda:
2001 Mazda Mazdaspeed Familia
2010 Mazda Mazdaspeed 3

So far I’ve followed the advice of starting with handling and tire upgrades first, and then adding HP to bring the car’s PI to the class max.
Thanks in advance!

Not bad advice to follow.

I have my 22B in B class and my Mazdaspeed 3 in C class - for races on the Events List - as many of my cars were. Another good way to figure out where a car runs well and what class it might be good in is to see what Rivals Events you can tune for and run them in - Time Attack, Traffic, and Autocross Rivals each have some races that you can run these in, in specific classes. Maybe try the Mazdaspeed 3 in the FWD C class Time Attack Rivals?

I don’t own either of the other two, the '09 WRX or Familia. - Put one of each in the Auction House for One Million CR Buyout, 24 hours. each ;^)

Hi, I’m not sure if this tuning is on my store front (but if not just send me a quick friend request so when I’m back online I can put it on there–will decline after) But I have an Mazda RX-8 that is S class and it can beat Ferrari’s and a bunch of other cars, it did take a while to make because the other cars were faster on the acceleration but I have that fixed and the speed is perfect, even the launch. etc. so if you need it soon or right now I cant give a copy to you, but if you can wait for about 2 weeks I can give it to you (really bad internet right now–Cruse you AT&T REGULAR DSL!!!)

As a tuner myself, I understand the complexity of the cars. The Subarus are both relatively similar, but the Mazdas are not. It’s difficult for me to give advice purely because everyone is different when it comes to how one perfers their car. What I can do, is if you PM me the list of upgrades you have on these cars, I can create a tune for you on and gift it to you. Also, I can gift you both the Furai and the Cusco Impreza and the FF if you prefer

My GT is Dribbly Midget, as shown to the left, so drop me an FR at any time

Tried adding you on friends’ list DM and it said your list was full.

I think I know what I need to do now. Due to a very generous new Xbox Live friend I have acquired the Mazda Furai (great car!) and Subaru Cusco along with some very nice Ferraris. The first step will be to purchase the remaining Mazda and Subaru cars. From there, I will decide which class each should run so that I have a good cross section of cars for each class. Once this is decided I will download a tune for each one in the chosen class as a jumping off point to fine tune it later. At least each one will be maximized for the PI. After this, I will grab tunes for the BMW and Audi cars in my garage as well. Luckily some of the better cars I received are already tuned (Enzo Ferrari WOW!!). Hopefully this will set me up for most racing situations. I have no idea how I missed it but I now know how to access my own garage cars for online play. Before, I was choosing stock cars off the list. This should really help. Thank you guys very much!
