Tracks - Catalunya National Chicane - Taking non-chicane final turn doesn't invalidate lap (1775456)

In Rivals and Featured Multiplayer Qualifying, it is possible to go off-track at Europcar and carry higher speed through New Holland.

This will invalidate your current lap, but when you cross the finish line, your next lap is clean and you potentially start the lap with a speed advantage.

This can give a few tenths of advantage in Rivals and in Featured Multiplayer Qualifying.

I believe that if a driver invalidates their lap between Europcar and Chicane RACC (the dark grey line on the diagram above), that their next lap should also be invalidated.

Does this issue still persist after recent updates? Would it be possible to provide a video of this in action?

I will test it in a few days (as I am away from home) and report back.

It appears this issue as been resolved.

If you look at the race notifications you’ll see I now Inherit an invalidated lap for skipping Chicane RACC on the previous lap.
