After a few weeks racing my most important audio queue for Forza Motorsport has to be the Track Limit audio queues. For me to get way better I would like to suggest a few things which would make it a smoother ride and a more enjoyable experience for many other blind gamers I think.
- first of all I would be very grateful if the Track Limit audio queues could be set to different sounds for left and right Track Limits. You could even make an option to select them to be non directional (in combination with the different sounds of course). I am saying this because if you want to hear all the other audio queues, car shounds, enviromental sounds, etc. it is very difficult to concentrate on the direction the Track Limit audio queues go to. When these could be set to different sounds for left and right (in combination with an non directional option), the need for headphones is eliminated too. I use now Bang & Olufsen Beoplay Portal for XboX headphones, but rather not. I cannot stand headphones/plugs for long time and am very cautious with headphones to protect my important hearing. And even with good headphones, it can still be quite a challenge to keep up with all the sounds. And believe me, I have experienced with volume and pitch settings alot.
- that brings me to my second point. When you drive at high speed and even have the engine sound at low as 30% and the Track Limits on 100%, I often cannot hear the audio queues. The balance between these sounds a bit off.
- the directional engine sound assist doesn’t work for me. The engine sound sweeps way to swift from left to richt and back again etc. It’s much to nervous. So this I have disabled.
- and last something about te audio queues in general. The audio queues are essential much the same sound, only pitch and pattern sets them apart. I would like to see some very different audio queue sound options. Which differ alot more from each other.
That’s it for now;) Let me know what you think of it all.
Thanks,
Ronald
