Too over complicated FORCE FEEDBACK SETTINGS

Force feedback settings are too complicated and no one expect from you is understanding what they need to do. I stopped playing this game because I needed to dial my settings each time I am trying a new car.
We need only 2 things for FORCE FEEDBACK

HOW STRONG THE EFFECT OF FFB IS

AND

HOW SENSITIVE THE EFFECT OF FFB IS

Please change that. Someone that is not understanding all of your settings will neven get it right. It is your JOB to make it simple that everyone can hop in and play this game. That’s is impossible for now. And because of that I stopped playing.

Make those things simple for everyone
pleassseeeeeee

Gran Tursimo 7 and Asseto Corsa Competizione they are doing much better job at making theirs game playable for everyone Big of small.

I am a fanatec user and to play this game I need to change all of the settings in between with each other.

Force Feedback Strength 0-100
Full Force 0-100
Natural Demping 0-100
Natural Friction 0-100
Natural Inertia 0-100
Interpolation 0-25
Force Effect Intensity 0-100
Game force effect strength 0-100
Game spring effect strength 0-100
Game damper effect strength 0-100
Vibration Scale 0-100
Force Feedback Scale 0-200
Steering Self Alignment 0-200
Mechanical Trail Scale 0-200
Pneumatic Trail Scale 0-200
Road Feel Scale 0-200
Load Sensitivity 0-100
Wheel Damping Scale 0-200
Center Spring Scale 0-200
Dynamic Damper Behavior 0-100
Steering Sensitivity 0-100
Steering Linearity. 0-100

All of those settings works together. I don’t understand those things and I don’t know wher do I need to go to make it enjoyable.

Are you out of your mind to make it so difficult to enjoy your game ? I will never play it again if you don’t make it playable and simple. And yes I did pay for the VIP version but I can’t play normal on my new base CLUBSPORT DD+ 15NM.

I hope that you will read that and make some changes to it. Because I am not the only one. And after you see how many people are playing Forza Motorsport 8. You can get yours own conclusions about why no one is playing. When Gran Turismo and ACC are doing very welll.

Please make it simple. pleaseeeeeeeeee

I don’t entirely agree with you.
Making it simple is not the right way.
If you don’t understand the system, there are countless ways to learn it.
On the other hand, you can use different settings from experienced players. And once you’ve studied the topic, you can adapt these settings to your needs.

It is important to change the settings in small steps and then test them.
It will only take a few hours at most and you will have a setting that suits your driving style exactly.

Take some time and learn the system that these games use.ACC has most if not all of the same settings, dumbing it down is not gonna happen and would be received with huge backlash from other wheel users.Just start with stock settings and adjust ONE setting at a time to get a feel for what it does to the ffb.We need to be able to adjust these settings for the many different wheels and different driving styles removing adjustment would be a horrible idea.If it’s too confusing for you simply copy another users setup and go from there…

Go to the Fanatec website and then to the forums. There’s a section for wheels and you can find all those settings in there. You can use the FM7 settings, they work perfectly fine for me.

I did try everything.

I am sitting 2 weeks behind my wheel and nothing is working how it’s supposed to. You can’t say I didn’t try because I did watch each video and I did watch all forums and I did try everything I could find about it and that didn’t work. This game is not good on the wheel if my settings are nothing but finished in that time. + I need another wheel setting for each car. That doesn’t work for me I don’t like to sit here for so long. When in GT7 and ACC I did find it in 1/10 hours.
I did buy VIP version because I love Forza and Xbox but this is unacceptable for everyone. Because if you think that you need to sit for hours to find good setting you need to search hulp.

I did more than that but to make people believe that Forza needs to sort this out. It’s theirs Job to make it simple not difficult

Agree - they ought to provide presets that work for major wheel vendors.

Try Ermz settings, they are a pretty solid foundation to start with: https://youtu.be/D-vGQZ2_1fs?si=TLQv8KCG2rBa5fBc

dude, you realy change your wheelbase settings to every car you drive? thats not very useful mate. you setup your wheelbase for a game, use the profiles, and switch them by the game you play. setup ffb things ingame. then, you also have a ffb slider for each car, that saves with the car setup.
FM8 have a very poor ffb. even more poor are the standard ingame ffb settings.
best you can do is start an other game( assetto corsa as reference, setup your wheelbase till you enjoy the ffb, then switch back to fm8 and try to adjust the ingame things to make the car feels drivable.

This is where I got my settings. I don’t know which wheel base you have but they’re all there. I adjusted a couple settings a bit, but over all it was pretty spot on. I’m still using the same set up in the new Forza. If this doesn’t work for you I don’t know what to tell you, I find it to be quite good.

I also use a Fanatec wheelbase (CSL DD 8Nm). You definitely should not need to change in-game FFB settings for every car you drive. At most, you might want to tinker with the settings on your wheelbase (NDP, NFR, FEI, etc.) once in a while, but even that is something i rarely do, only if i find a particular car/ track combination where things don’t quite feel right and i can’t get things dialed in using the in-game slider for per-car FFB Scale (last tab in the tuning settings).

Something to keep in mind with this game in particular… not every car is going to feel great to drive, stock. In fact, I’d venture to say that most don’t. So don’t make the mistake of trying to tune your wheel and FFB settings to try and make up for poor-feeling default tunes.

My general method for dialing in FFB has been to take note of what settings others recommend, (I started with a combination of settings from Ermz and HokiHoshi and tweaked to personal preference) and try them on what i know (based on real life) should be a very stable, balanced, easy to drive car… the MX-5 Miata. It’s available in a number of different racing games, so once I’ve gotten it dialed in in one game, i know how it should feel in another, then i can chase that feeling and tweak settings accordingly. I’d recommend doing test laps around somewhere like Barcelona or Kyalami, which have a good mix of corner types.

I think you just need to narrow your focus and try not to get overwhelmed. If you concentrate on getting one neutral car (e.g. the MX-5) feeling good on one track, you’ve got 99% of the work done there, at least in terms of FFB settings. The rest comes down to upgrading and tuning.

It’s doesn’t feel right. I don’t change my settings for each car because I only used 1 car for each sort race. I know how it needs to feel. I play other games and only Forza games are trash if it comes to Force Feedback. I did spend 2 weeks to learn how it works and it is not working how it’s supposed to. But no problem I have good time on GT7 and ACC. It’s not my problem I can go and play other games and other people are doing the same if you ever checking how many people are playing. Those games (GT7,ACC)are not over complicated and with theirs versions of Force Feedback where I only need to adjust sensitivity and strength from FFB. I don’t care anymore. It’s theirs Job to make it simple for people with LOW and HIGH intelligence.
And if you are thinking differently it’s not a problem . But if you want more gamers in that game. They need to change the way they are presenting theirs work where they are good at.

For now. I need to make theirs force feedback to work for my self. And that is not my job :joy: They need to work, not us to make it work for us. that’s is how I see it. We are living in 2024 and I do not believe in this when I hear all good things about the other great simracing games that I can’t try because I only have Xbox en PS5. (Iracing LMF,AC,……) But only ACC GT7 FM8,FM7,FH5.
And all Forza games have over complicated FFB settings. Because of that I will not play for a while and I hope they change that. Then I and other thousands of people will try it of will come back again.

Sorry for my English but I am trying :+1:t2: have a nice day

If you did read what I said I did watch every YouTube video. No need to link me up with that sort of stuff. I will not play it again. They need to make it simple for everyone. I wil stick to GT7 and ACC for now. Have a good and nice day mate.

Explanations (and translation) could be better.

video is for FM7 but since the settings options are all pretty much the same this setup process should still be applicable. I would argue one off the most detailed forza FFB setup guides

Anyone have any suggestions on getting FFB to work while drifting with Simulation Steering switched on? My current settings are just too lethargic to drift with sim steering on but, when I turn up center alignment, I get lots of on center oscillation, which makes taking my hand off the wheel treacherous. Add in the razor thin zone to catch a slide that is inherent with sim steering and to me, drifting is practically impossible.

I tried using normal steering, but that was too slow and unresponsive for my liking.

CSL-DD 8Nm, WRC wheel.
