Every week now I have to delete and unshare 10-20 tunes, just to keep up with new cars and seasonal challenges. Let alone saving something random. It must be even worse for people who download tunes.
They’ve had years to fix this. Garage size has gone from 500 to 1000 since early FH4, we can’t even get one save per car. Microsoft servers not advanced enough for a few hundred KB of binary save data?
Few hundred KB? What platform are you on? My FH5 save data is already over 100 MB even when I try to keep number of downloaded tunes to minimum so I don’t get to situation I had with FH4 save data.
Is it a limit coming from the limit size of the game data on a xbox ? I don’t know… Yes I sent a ticket for this. And how much difficult to search which saves you want to delete (and going from car to car to see the local saves). If we can save only 200 tunes (I’m not far from the real number), why not have only 100 cars ? So why there are local saves and not every saves on the cloud ? The limit is similar with liveries and pictures…
what are the limits ? are they the same on different xbox & pc ?
I thought they expanded the limit slightly a while ago but am not sure.
Is there a limit on Favourite cars ?
the file system is awful, especially for liveries, why is that not like the tune files where u can only see what is available for that car you are in?
then they both need the option to view all if needed but you cant delete them from where you can see them all in Creative Hub
when i 1st started, cars got tuned, i liked it, i painted it i added to favs, done… next one… but my god…so many so fast and most cars are still ‘New’, most used ones have a Livery file & a tune file…or 2 depending on seasonal silly speed tunes that usually wreck a good car into just a fast one, and then you have to do some admin after the ‘fun’ challenges by reinstalling the good tune, then delete or keep the 2nd tune bcos you notice that car comes up in several challenges… the files just add up, become bloated and some are pointless except for 1 challenge…
one issue is the weekly stuff… maybe they can rethink the constant difficult to do stuff… like the 3000ft jump for example… how many tried to make their own before resorting to the web to find one jesko build… more files right there…
I’ve had this message as well a few days ago. I’m on a brand new Gaming PC so no issues with storage space. Every new car I get I like to apply a tune to it. Now I’m forced to delete tunes so that I can load tunes to the new cars.
I’m getting strangled by that message both for liveries and tunes. I have to send liveries through the auction house to get a slot back. Increasing the limit is one debate. That there’s no file manager for tunes is an absolute out and out disgrace.
I got my first Too Many File Saves, for tunes, tonight I’m sure liveries are soon to happen if/when I get time to get back into it. It’s ridiculous. 254 tunes ? That’s it ! Seriously ! ? And somehow they expect us to use new cars every week for stunts etc. Not that I’m knocking the different cars and tunes for stunts etc. I like it but give us a break… if you’re going to make us use them then give us the space to save them ! PLEASE
500 ? Ah, I was looking at my shared tunes. So I’m about 50/50 on shared vs borrowed. Sounds about right. Thanks for the number. Now I just need to “…delete some from the file manager…” like the game told me to… oh, right.
Good tip on the download and instant delete, I only noticed that last night when looking for something to delete. Only works if you don’t mind a single tune “saved” (ghost saved) per car though. I guess maybe that’s a reason to save duplicate cars… but then that limit rears it’s ugly head. I’m close but have a few duplicates I need to clear out, unless I start doing that. There’s no way to win.
Also for the tune saves… you cannot see how many downloads theyve had to help decide which ones to bin…
The Livery & Tunes files need to be the same style…
Both are currently awful to manage if you need to do some admin.
In the tuning/paint garage, you can see all liveries you own for any car while in any car, you cannot do that for tune files… i think i prefer the tune file way and ONLY want to see what is avail for current car when im in the editing garages.
You should be able to manage the files from the Creative Hub as that is where info is stored - Currently this is only works for liveries, the tunes seem to be unable to display how many downloads/likes they receive at all.
If we could manage these files from the same page we can see the shared info then it would make things easier to manage, especially when people suddenly hit a limit which ultimately breaks their game experience for several days/weeks…
Like the ‘new’ cars, the tunes & liveries should also be able to highlight which is ‘unused’
The limitation on the auctiion to sell excess cars also gets in the way of clear outs…
Games should be enjoyed & not a chore… the file system is awkward
