In the last few days i figured out that this games is actually pretty bugged/unfinished (graphically),
so i had to write this topic so the dev`s hopefully see it and CHANGE them too.
If you see more Bugs feel free to add them in the comments.
Every stock manufactur wheel in the game is painted glossy/chrome even on those who are mat.
Probably its caused by the wheel paint update. Example Dodge Charger Hellcat
This is on a specific car (BMW M5 2018) which we got from the DLC Fortune Island, so it is not for free.
But the quality they are building cars is sometimes really bad and i hope they fix that in the next updates.
One headlight is very detailed and the other seams to be unfinished
Last one about lights seems like a rendering issue, that’s how the lights would render if the car was far away (driven by an ai by example). The dash I can’t really see the difference between the two. The needle seems to look like that because in the showroom the physical needle’s lights are on. Outside in the daylight, the light is off, making the needle blueish.
Could you possibly DM me with some information about it “never working.” Is an error code appearing or is it just not loading?
We’ll have a look into this as every player should be able to access the support page.
The bugs are multiplying rather than getting fixed, it’s a strange company strategy, I’ve never known it before in the entire history of computer games, and I’ve known some pretty bad programming from the past.
One game made by Elite… Blue Thunder I think it was… never had an ending programmed, they ran out of time, it just crashed the game at the end.
Another game… Summer Games or Winter Games has 3 skill options, and was the first game ever to do that, but actually the programmer told me that he never programmed a difference for any of them. However a placebo type effect played a part, and people thought that the gameplay was different giving the game extra high scores in the reviews. One reviewer wrote… “The game is a bit too easy in easy mode, and a bit too difficult in hard mode.” Me, and the programmer never really let that information out, so it is still an unknown fact.
I happened to like a lot of games released by Epyx back in the day and Games series (Summer or Winter Games) story was actually quite hilarious and perhaps we can wonder if gaming press has changed from those days at all.
But perhaps games industry has changed from those days. Organisations, these corporations are huge these days. There’s more bureaucracy, leading to more entropy, bugs are symptom. It just is that people who are very good at say programming, problem solving have more options than developing games, which appears to be quite often miserable job in many studios and then even that is going to be outsourced to some developing country as soon as corporate overlords see opportunity.
That said, it’s good that there are players who demand things to be fixed. Past week Forzahon Live crashed again to Dashboard. Not going to make new topic about it, not going to keep notes which Danger Sign it was. I have thousands of Forzathon points so I don’t need to care Forzathon shop wise but not very fun for new players who need those points to fully use Forzathon shop feature. But in the end I’m a customer and not Playground Games volunteer worker. Their product, their responsibility and if they mess it up, some other studio will want that money.
Or non-game software. I’ve never known a company regard it as acceptable to release software with such obvious bugs in the function of the software, and then to not only release it in that state, but never fix the bugs. It’s pretty annoying to someone like me who works in the software industry, in a way that is hard to convey to someone who doesn’t. It’s hard to describe just how utterly unacceptable it would be to do this in any company I’ve ever worked for. There would be no debate, it would simply be regarded as being the case that the software cannot be released until the bugs are fixed.
It has definitely got worse since they started shipping a new version every 6 months, but even then, I can’t think of many functional bugs of the severity of the problems present in FH4. The file deletion problem was major, of course, but once they became aware of it, they stopped shipping the software till it was fixed. I don’t personally experience functional bugs in Windows. What I mean by a functional bug is something like rewind not working, or a rivals time not updating the leaderboard - things where a function that the software provides is clearly simply not functioning in the intended way. I can’t think of any such problem that I’ve personally encountered in Windows.
I wonder how some of you play the game with so many bugs. My game works just fine. Maybe a few things act up once every blue moon, but nothing game breaking.
