I think to switch up tire strats, they should randomize the tire wear.
Say for long races let it be between 2-8x wear. This will put more emphasis on figuring out tire strategy. And will lean toward more people varying their strategy, depending on their car.
This would be fine if there were estimates for how many laps a tire lasts for each compound.
Given how slow the game is to calculate fuel estimates at the start of a race series I dread to think how much worse it would be if tire estimates were included
Tbh this seems like a terrible idea. I don’t have any interest in figuring out how my car is going to handle from race to race. Imo tire wear should be consistent across all events.
It’s bad enough the rubbering resets after practice and you’ve got people flying all over the track because they just spent however long in practice on a sticky track. Now add random tire wear to that? No thanks.
Many of the same people complaining about the unpredictability of this idea, would complain about that too which is why it got nerfed in the first place.
Too many gamers these days want to be in control. There’s actual a sizable group of people that would prefer to never race in the rain or at night with i just can’t relate to.
