Man, I got that game at launch and it was pretty awful. A FH5 Hot Wheels expansion would almost certainly make for a better Hot Wheels game experience than Unleashed.

What’s it like now?
Doh!, I was so looking forward to my little pony/piñata fornite world.
Last time I popped into it they had added monster trucks and a couple of extra environments to race in. The monster trucks were awful because they were so big that hitting other vehicles was almost a given, but collisions in that game are dangerous enough in normal vehicles - in the monster trucks you get flipped and spun and thrown over railings ridiculously easy. Time trials become impossible for me in that game, but a significant portion of unlockable content requires beating them. On the positive side, they seemed to listen to feedback about the currency grind, adding various better ways to get the currency you need to upgrade vehicles…
And of course they had to put in the requisite chore list that so many games have these days.
Ultimately, it was the biggest case of buyer’s remorse I’d had in a really long time. And then Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands’ DLC started to rear its ugly head…

So what will be the slogan for the upcoming expac? Hot wheels - the biggest hot wheels map to date?

so what do we get?
- biggest expansion map they have ever done
- fast travel signs to smash
- pr stunts
- one million treasures
- a barn find
- something evolving
- accolades
- a story
- 10 new cars (but many of them are from previous games)
- monster trucks (hw unleashed got a monstertruck dlc last month)
- a new gamemode/minigame
- an advanced totally brand new top notch track builder/editor (just kidding)
- a lot of bugs
- 30hr gameplay
- but the weekly playlist on HW-Map is without new cars
- …
The main things I would like them to feature in this expansion are:
- A second weekly playlist
- A map with less hills. Maybe a completely flat map might be nice with nothing on it.
- Better safety measures when changing cars. Like an extra popup that says are u sure u would like this car delivered to u?
- A multiplayer mode would be awesome too. And the ability to race other players but not competively because that kind of stuff doesn’t belong in a car racing game like this.

The problem with these type of posts is that you just know that the devs will read them and think they are serious.
You’ll feel bad when you try and get into your new monster Boneshaker and get the fifth prompt - “Are you really really really sure you want this car delivered?”

Hahaha I’m trying to picture that now. A lobby full of OP monster truck sized bone shakers and all the complaints that follow lol.

Just drive up the Northern bridge and gun it through the new Halo inspired warp gate and boom - viva la Mexico 
(and don’t tell them you’re in a 33 Stradale!)
EDIT: Hotwheels was the only thing I was tempted to get FH3 for so this scratches that itch. I think like me a lot of people started playing FH4 on gamepass so it will be new for lots of folk but for longtime players I get the “this again?!” But overall I am happy.

Not that there are no disappointments at all, but I am still a little relieved.
Hot Wheels is at least a product based on car culture, and both of the two currently confirmed models (Bad to the Blade and Deora 2) look less like toys and more like real cars.
Perhaps the new Hot Wheels-branded cars included in the expansion will be similarly selected from among the real-life custom cars they have created.
And best of all, this expansion is HotWheels, not Lego, Minecraft, or any other ridiculous IP that has nothing to do with car culture.
I was seriously afraid they were going to release a Minecraft expansion until this leak occurred.

So, to sum up the thread (and the state of franchise) : it’s pap,but not as pap as i was expecting 
I’m hoping for Hot Wheels Tokyo, just so these “we (everyone apparently?) want Horizon in Japan” people would be silenced once and for all… Couple that with a ton of Hot Wheels JDM cars, and there you have it. I believe someone even mentioned the first expansion should be in Japan, which everyone knows is only next door to Mexico and totally relevant to the current map…
Personally, I’d like Expansion 2 to be based in North Korea, where none of the map is visible, and buzzing speed traps/speed zones and danger signs means having to dodge missiles launched at your car, unless you’re driving superior North Korean cars that out-match every car on the planet, naturally…
The location never changes in a FH title, so it will be Hotwheels Mexico. Anyway, Japan would look silly in Mexico.

… If this is true, makes me feel very disappointed, nobody was asking for this. Can we just simply get what people want?
All that Solar Crown need’s to kill FH is good wheel support, a lot of good-sounding cars, and a solid experience of driving the vehicles. And I really hope it happens, I’m getting tired of these ultra-accessible, candy and rainbows, cringy child racing game that FH has become.
I was hoping for Hotwheels actually.
