Thrustmaster Wheel or Any wheel users

I’m relatively new to Xbox One and Forza 5. Been racing and collecting, tuning, and just having fun. However, when I’m racing in the multiplayer hopper, all different classes etc, I always ask if anybody is using a wheel, gas & brake pedals. I have never had a positive answer. Am I the only one using a wheel? And no assists except for the line and automatic. If you haven’t yet, you don’t know what your missing. Would like to hear from racers using only wheels and maybe get some good racing in.

Hey there,i run with the TX wheel,no assists,no racing line and clutch less manual and i know what you mean it is way more fun than flicking a stick side to side. Waiting for my csp adapter to arrive so i can plug my csp V2 pedals in as i haven’t been able to use them since forza 4 on the 360, if you are keen for a race sometime shoot me a fr.

I too race with the TX wheel and love it. I’m interested to see how you get on with the CSP adapter and the TX pedals are not the greatest. Keep me posted!

Wheels are uncommon because they are expensive.

I use one, and no assists. I don’t race online a whole lot though.

I suggest you try without the line. For me at least, it was hard to memorize tracks until I turned the line off. It’s too distracting and all I ever did was watch the line, and follow it’s instructions. That’s not racing!

I’m interested to know from those that use both, whish do you find is faster?

I use a wheel and pedals and only braking line with manual/no clutch.

Been using the TX since day one and love it. I use only braking line everything else off. I do use auto clutch only for F1

is there a manual with auto clutch for Forza? I used to use the fanatec for Forza 4 and that had an auto clutch feature.

That was an option on the Fanatec wheel after a firmware update, but is not an option for the TX wheel.

I map the A button as the clutch and it works well. Not sure which button to map when I mount the GTE rim but will figure it out.

Wheel user here +1 friend also with a wheel. We are both running the same setup, no assists, manual w clutch, except I use hood view in public for the rear view. We run D & C class mostly.

Using the TX Wheel with no assists. Real Racing  I never could imagine to drive with the pad. In all Racing games on all platforms since 1998 I am driving with a wheel and its fun ! The TX is also a very good wheel btw !

TX Wheel here. Not sure if it’s faster or slower, but I can’t imagine not using one.

Guess I was born in the wrong generation to get used to a pad

I use the TX wheel, manual w/clutch… Works very well and it’s probably an advantage over the Pad. But some of these guys know how to use the hand controller very well and can successfully argue its usefulness.

I want to know the same thing as ochilbaz. I have the TX and it is awesome. Don’t get much time for online racing though:(

Is there a way to chat on xbox live while using the TX with a headset? BTW just got the TX yesterday, and really starting to get the feel of it.

Broun money, the easiest way I know of to chat online with the tx is wear your headset, mute the tv volume or surround and talk with the kinect. Only problem us if others in the room it will pick up their voices also.

I am just using the stupid xbox headset that does not have sound other than chat on it.

i would be using a wheel, or even actually play forza 5 if my wheel were supported. but the TX whell is the ONLY wheel that works on X1 (ATM). shame really

I too use the TX. Got it when it was released. I have not played Forza with a pad since part 1. I just can’t play a sim game (or sim based) with a pad, it’s wrong imho. I got friends online that know I use wheel and say I do have advantages. One for example is a sweeping turn  I just love the feedback you get from it! I can feel exactly what the car is doing. I use no assists, no line & manual.

I would play online more, but my Upload Speed is killing me at 750kb. Don’t know where the server is I get connected to, but it’s horrible. Never had this problem on no other Forza game. My download speed is 10mb & thats gets the job done for streaming HD. However it’s okay though, later this year I will have gigabyte internet & I can’t wait. They got to get the fiber to where my house is, but I’m getting it. Then plenty of Forza racing for me. Wish they would do Forza servers like Titanfall. On beta I was connected to a NY server with an excellent ping & had no issues. On Forza, guess I’m connecting to a server on the moon
