Thrustmaster TX FFB goes from 40% to 100%

Hi All,

Just got a new TX and I had a quick question.

In test drive in the open field airport location, I will try drifting and the FFB is pretty light (for me) at 40%. Also, if I floor it in 1st gear and lock the wheel left or right, I can turn it 900 deg the other direction with reasonable force. If i let go of the wheel it stays in whatever lock side (right or left) position i leave it.

Here’s the weird issue.

After playing for maybe 20 minutes, the FFB increases to what feels like 100%. Also, now when I floor it in 1st gear, the wheel locks to the left and only to the left. It takes a significant amount of force to turn it 900 deg right, but when I let go, it immediately spins all the way left again 900 deg, which to me is not correct car behavior if your going 5-10 mph burning your rear tires…

Very very odd. Anyone have this experience?

Yes. There are a few threads discussing this bug.
I’ve been able to avoid it by keeping Rumble OFF. It’s a setting in controller basic options.

Yes It does happen to me too… First upgrade to latest firmware that keeps internal fan on all the time… Cant hurt anything and more airflow the better…

When the problem happens to me I go back to wheel settings in game and then just accept settings again and all is back to normal… It seems it happens less to me now fir some reason… I cant see how different firmware would make a difference but it did coincide with upgrading firmware…

Ive also read that pushing xbox home button and then returning to game clears up the wacky feeling… I havent tried to confirm this yet though but is a much easier solution if it works.

Welcome to the number 1 racing game and number 1 racing wheel on Xbox One. Sadly the combination of both ain’t even top 10.

Oh ok, as long as its a SW bug and not a hardware issue. I did update to the latest firmware, but I’m sure that doesn’t do anything since its only fan related.

Thanks for the replies!
