Throttle starts to lag mid-race

Hello!

I have a problem that has been bugging me for some time. Whenever I race the throttle begins to, for the lack of a better word, “lag”. It´s like it is momentarily cutting out during full acceleration. Subsequently the whole car becomes slower as well and the lap times plummet. First lap is always fine, this usually happens during second or third lap.

I have double-checked both the deadzones and whether any assists are turned on but there is nothing out of the ordinary. I have also tried using the controller wired but that does not make a difference.

This only happens in Forza, I can play GTA V for hours and there are no problems with the controller what so ever.

Does anyone know what the problem could be and whether there is a solution?

Have you been crashing the car (or miss treating the gears) with simulation damage on?

No sir, been driving the car (almost) without any contact with either other cars or the barriers. And I drive manual without clutch so no troubles with the gear shift either.

I tried playing with network turned off yesterday and it worked much better. I still don’t see why though since the problems are the same when I play with the controller wired and I run the XBOX on 5 GHz anyway. Very weird…

Very weird indeed, the only thing I can say is the next time it happens pull up the telemetry and make sure everything checks out. Make sure throttle percentage is showing correctly, and check the damage tab just to be sure to rule that out

When you experience this throttle lag, do you see the bar going down? The brake and throttle ‘travel bar’ that’s right next to the speedo/tacho? bottom right of the screen
