This week's Forza Leagues: B-Class Ghosts & Historic Sportscar Racing

hi can i ask a question on the leagues? i have been running the bclass fwd for the last 2 days and it says im in proffessional league, rank 6th at the moment my question is will i get put into higher leagues as the week runs, or is it when the league finishes. thanks

The league leaderboard you see has no bearing on whether you move up or down. That ranking is only related to the payout you will receive. There is a behind the scenes ‘TruSkill’ ranking that determines which division everyone is placed in. Triton posted about it in another thread. IIRC it’s mainly based on who you beat in each race(better ranked racers are worth more points if you finish ahead of them).

If you are going to be moved into the next division, up or down, that will happen at the beginning of the next week’s league on Sunday.

Your locked into a division once you start a race in the leagues. Advancing to a new division has a lot of variables such as tru skill (t10 only knows that formula), beating people of a higher tru skill (thats when you recieve bonus points or higjer point total for position finished than normal). If there are any other factors someone else with more information will have to answer.

ok great thanks for that, dont know how i started in pro division as i havent done any league racing before and not much lobby racing, i mainly run rivals are my leaderboard times taken into account on the divisions? sorry for the questions lol i had a year break from forza 5 and trying to get my head around things again

From another thread…

Despite what I said earlier, I decided to do some racing today in the historics pinnacle lobby. It was good fun despite the Alfa being the clear #1 car.

Anyway, is it just me or did nobody else get disconnected? I played for a solid 2.5 hours and didn’t get one disconnect. Haven’t seen that happen since the november patch that started it.

What is the best way to ensure I get put back to Elite next week? I’ve been in Pinnacle for the last 2 weeks now and haven’t been competitive in either and i’m really not enjoying it. I wasn;t blowing people away in Elite, but I could keep up and get the odd podium. I’ve no idea how I got Pinnacle again this week as last week I pretty much had the slowest lap in each race and finished dead last in the majority of the 15 or so races I bothered to do.

If you continue to lose your rank will decrease. If you don’t race it won’t change.

i had several disconnects in around 4 hours of racing i had 5 disconnects, race would start i would lanch, no other cars move then disconnected. at one disconnect it removed me from xbox live!

Lockeye86… I had 2 disconnects in consecutive races last night and then nothing, like you said for 2.5 hours when I called it a night.

And I must say you were doing really well in non Alfas.
Had some really good races last night with a good bunch of quick guys. Still the odd carnage but nothing intentional from what I could see.

One thing that is rather annoying is its supposed to be the fastest lap from the previous race gets pole. Example: I set the fastest lap and 3 people join while I’m racing then the next race I start 4th and the 3 that joined mid race are 1st, 2nd and 3rd, anyone else notice this?

It’s Lockeye, he’s quick in anything

I should be able to do some more races tonight; need to finish off my Alfa 33 paint first but fortunately it’s not too complicated.

Haha blush I just try to stay with Ivorbigun. He’s been in this league way more and I was basically just learning the cars.

Anyway the Miura actually felt good for higher speed tracks. Swap in the enzo engine and it puts the power down really nicely. I feel like the DBR1 could be the same type of build, except you swap in the Lambo V10.

But really the only car that can hang at least within a half second of the Alfa (on tracks where you’d use it) is the Cobra.

I’ve noticed that also…sometimes when I come into a room I’ll start in the back…but most of the time it’s right up front

No time should always be in the back …till they prove they’re fast enough to start out front

Looking good mate, I’ll look forward to seeing you in it on track tonight.

There has been some great racing in the last couple of nights, some fast people out there who know how to race which makes for some epic battles.

Nice Alfa PJ, I’m a big fan of retro liveries so i’ll be picking that up. Seeing one of these cars with a Monster energy livery or something makes me cringe a bit lol

Tonight I may not be around due to a work-related event, but Fri/Sat/Sun I’m there.

And you’re right Mike, modern designs don’t work on classics.

You just went up 50 cool points in my book. Seeing a bunch of historic thoroughbreds running around on Lexanis with gaudy paint makes me literally nauseous.

One more day left in this League before it expires.

I enjoyed the Historics; didn’t really have an issue with the Alfa being dominant as it was still a fun car to drive and race. Attendances were pretty low however, Pinnacle averaged 7-10 people for most races.

I gave the Ghost League a quick go on the first day as well; despite B/600 being my favourite Class I just can’t get into non-contact racing. I get why it’s there but I’m a clean racer and don’t get the same thrill when the risk of failure is not present. I did pick up a new car for the general Hoppers however, the '97 Honda Civic’s surprisingly competitive against RWD cars.

I really started to enjoy this league and then suddenly I could only get in to lobbies with just 1 or 2 players. Tried dozens of times from Thursday to Saturday and it was the same each time. 5 laps against 2 other people is just no fun at all.
