Im really looking forward to leagues this week in elite.
Just finished last weeks A class ghost in 61 position and a smidge under a million credits.
Im not normally a P class racer, or track toy user.
My bread and butter lies generally in A class and S class.
I have to say, i cannot wait to try P class racing.
Hopefully there will be more laps and i think ghosting the lobby is a good idea for this class.(especially with P class novices like me )
Fingers crossed tracks like Road America,Monza and maybe even the Nordescleife will make the rotation!!
Track toys also sounds appealling with collisions on.
Thanks Turn 10 for a week ahead of new experiences for me.
Could anyone suggest a good handling P class car to get me going tonight?
Thanks.
I’ve been enjoying the track toys league so far. 80% of people are using the BAC mono but it makes for close racing.
There are still problems with crashes even in the pinaccle league but on the whole I can tell that the calibre of driver and the driving quality is higher.
As for P class, I don’t really have much interest in doing that league too much but I might give it a go to see what it’s like. I agree that collisions off might be sensible for that league.
The ghosting helps out alot. 24 cars on the track with collisions is madness with randoms. With ghosting most races are still competitive. Had a race on bugatti circuit that was 8-10 cars finishing within .250 of the leader, but also there are people getting lapped, Its not proper racing but its far less headache and I am enjoying it.
I’m enjoying the Leagues. Also it seems to have sorted out the divisions and I’m more often against a field of more competitive drivers, rather than having a massive gulf between the fastest and slowest.
I have a couple of tunes shared for the 787B that can be used for the Ghost League and Rivals alike. Actually I’ve set some top 5s in some of these League races!
Considering the competition on that track, I’m pretty chuffed. Some of those up on those boards are, naturally, among the fastest players on the game.
I have a couple more #1s on some of the shorter/national layouts too., the lobby cycles some of them so there’s bound to be more people getting up there on the boards.
787b still reigns on all p cars but a skilled driver can beat it 905c and the v12 lmr only cars in my opinion that can’t stay with the mazda or idk maybe it’s me all I drive is p class lol
I found that I’m just terrible at P class. Never really raced it before though. Probably only a few minutes total, ever. I think I need to put in some rivals time before going back. I shouldn’t be in pinnacle for P class. S and lower, sure, but I should definitely be in a lower division for R to X classes.
Joined a track toys lobby. Spectated the race that was happening when I joined. Saw a dozen crashes in about 15 seconds. Left lobby.
I raced on road America full road Atlanta full and Catalunya full I’ve seen lemans but it’s rare you gotta be patient but I do get what your saying
I’ve done Yas Marina full at night. I’m actually on Silverstone now. But I had Bugatti in the wet (which is annoying but I have the tune for it), followed by Rio National!
Some of the wet tracks I like because I’m competitive on them.
@LOCK3D - if you’d like any help or advice then I should be useful for something
Thanks man. I’ll try a few more tunes, but I think it’s just the nature of these cars to be much more twitchy than I’m used to and they like to stall on the line if you drive with clutch. That’s a bit annoying. Driving without clutch feels strange to me now. Just need to spend some more time with them, but I really don’t mind skipping a week. The faster classes might just not be my thing.
If you’re stalling on the line then tap the clutch as start the timer runs down, dont hold it, tap it… worked for me. BUT its definitely the tune at fault, I was stalling with a few different tunes then switched to DaveySkills tune and problem solved.
Going by what I raced today a lot of people aren’t used to P class, myself included. Its white knuckle from start to finish compared to S class or lower.
From what I know of the Daveyskills tune, it’s a very aggressive tune and needs care and precision when coming out of corners. My Mazda doesn’t stall but I had a very short first gear, I think I can afford to elongate it.
@L0CK3D: It’s also very encouraged to use clutch on this car still. It doesn’t have the super fast gearboxes they have nowadays on the Audis for instance.
Track toys do not interest me at all. I personally feel like collision off isn’t real racing, sure it’ll help out with the wrecking crew but to me I’d rather hot lap than race others without collisions. No setting up passes, drafting, defensive lines at all. I understand I’m most likely in the minority.
Oh well, here’s looking forward to next weeks league. The few I did do last week and the week before I had the best racing by far, I was really looking forward to something this week I would want to drive a little more.
Im not interested in the p class league. I run no assists and manual with clutch, and if i drove in p i would have to completely change my setup to try and handle those cars. Otherwise id be spending all race shifting every quarter second and spinning my wheels.
I’m running Hardcore assist settings in Pinnacle and with the 787B seem to be doing alright. HMR Motorhead’s tune doesn’t need TCS if you’re careful out of the hairpins.
While I’m obviously no match for the full-time P-Class racers like Motorhead and Daveyskills I am getting mid-pack which is good, and some Top 10s on the Hardcore boards too.
