Never have tried a game when it says ready to start. Haves always waited for it to finish. Just seemed like the sensible thing to do.
However, I think they should get rid of the option.

Updating the game is really fun. After downloading the 2GB update yesterday the store decided to download the whole game again before i had the chance to even start the game. That took several hours and after that went to an error during installation. Now the store is downloading the whole game again. So i will be downloading at least 130GB of data just for an update. If there won’t be another error that is… (Windows 10)
Lol. That happened to me as well although I am on Xbox. Tge store downloaded the game again and it seemed to install fine but when I started it my save wouldn’t load so I had to uninstall the game completely and reinstall it. This is the second time this has happened after an update.
