The Forzathons in this game need a complete overhaul. Until then, I’m going to focus on racing all the tracks I haven’t completed because that’s were the real fun is, and I’ll make enough money next time a showcase even requires a $500,000 vehicle. In order to make Forzathons fun and appeal do more gamers, the following needs to be addressed and corrected.
Farming for points is more of a job than a challenge. Basically you have to stop what you’re doing, look for a hilly area full of destructible things for wreckage points but no solid objects to stop you, drive back and forth through that area, and hope you get enough points before the real world requires you to stop playing. That’s not fun, and the skill points aren’t even worth it.
The Drivatars are too difficult in the racing challenges, and need to be taking down a level or two.
Weather or not I use a handbrake is irrelevant and should still count as a drift. Otherwise, making us drift a car that was designed specifically to maintain maximum grip without the handbrake (Nissan GTR), especially during any kind of race, is unreasonable for those without real-world drifting skills. Even people that drift a Nissan GTR in real life use handbrakes.
Having a seasonal event (PR stunt, speed trap, or average speed trap) depend on the weather, or time of day is foolish. “It just started raining, I could get that Jump season objective done once I get the right car.” (Change to correct car) “It’s no longer raining, so I can’t complete the objective.” See the problem?
Requiring specific vehicles to complete a Seasonal PR stunt, speed trap, or average speed trap is completely unreasonable. If you complete the PR stunt, speed trap, or average speed trap objective, the kind of vehicle should be irrelevant. If you really want Seasonal PR stunts, speed traps, or average speed traps to require specific vehicles, have the speed or point goals be based on what the vehicle can do without modifications or tuning. That way after we modify/tune the vehicles we can have a chance to achieve three stars.
Having Daily/Weekly challenges include anything involving multiplayer is an absolute pain in the butt. Multiplayer should be it’s own thing. This franchise used to appeal to fans of Solo and Multiplayer gamers, but now it seems to favor multiplayer while leaving solo players in the weeds.
Achieving three stars at any Drift event without real-world drifting skills is impossible. Either never make them part of Forzathons again, or divide the required points per star by ten. Anyone that ever achieved three stars at a drift event should consider a career in drifting.
So don’t. There’s little reason to farm Skill Points, honestly.
Personally, I think they need to be taken UP a level or two. Seasonal races are boring right now.
I agree on this one.
They’re not, and have never been, based on weather or time of day.
The speed or point goals are based on what the vehicle can do. Almost all of them are ridiculously easy, see the RX-7 “challenge” this week for example. Three stars never comes into play here, the goals are totally separate.
Same as #1, if you don’t want to do them, don’t.
They have scaled the points, Drift Arcade is ridiculously easy now.
That’s the weird thing about the AI. In seasonal races, AI drivers race cleanly and they’re too easy. For the same races in solo mode, it’s a different AI that loves to ram, roadblock, and use your car as its riding wall around every sharp corner. If I can’t enjoy solo races, I lose interest in the game.
Then don’t? unless you’re trying to unlock accolades directly related to skill trees of cars there is no reason to unlock the skill trees whatsoever.
I completely disagree - the highly skilled drivatar level is too easy in my opinion. Even with my wheel I am easily able to beat them on the first lap - I hardly ever even need to tune my car to the top of the class to beat them. Maybe one level up would be better and more of a challenge
I don’t know exactly what your referring to, I don’t remember a type where I was forced to use the GTR to get drift skills as part of the festival playlist? Also it sounds like you have TC on which is greatly hindering your loss of grip. Try turning it off next time just for the challenge or whatever and it should be much easier.
I don’t know what you mean here? No festival playlist thus far has required a certain weather condition to unlock? the current one wants snow at the volcano which will be there all week regardless of weather.
5… I somewhat agree with this. I didn’t like how I needed to use a single car for one of the speed traps although I had it on hand - a specific class and group of vehicles (super saloons, etc) was a nice change meaning I had to use a different car which I may not have normally but the novelty has worn off - having to spend sometimes upwards of 80k credits upgrading a car to use once is a waste of money and time.
This seems to be a large talking point with a lot of people loathing the multiplayer aspect of the FP. I personally don’t mind it as it makes the game feel alive (I play solo 90% of the time apart from these events) and don’t seem awfully hard even for mediocre players.
Either you play on wheel religiously which could explain some other points or you just need to practice drifting. When I started playing FH3 back in 2017 I tried completing drift zones by speeding into them at 160kph and yanking the handbrake in my Porsche 918 and hoping to get back into the zone before it failed me. Then proceed to build some speed and yank again. As you can imagine I’d get 20,000 points at most and that was enough for maybe one star. I then started practicing - watching videos and reading forums about drifting and the proper cars. Used the Supra and BMW M3 Horizon Editions to 3 star every drift zone soon after. It was a learning curve sure but did I overcome it, hell yeah. IMHO the Formula Drift cars and drift suspension are basically giveaways for anything drifting in this and the previous games.
For me the skill points are the only reason to play the game… even when the stats for that are bugged too.
But to invest skill points in the car mastery to gain even more skill points - sign me in! All my tuned D500, C600, B700, A800, S1 900, S2 998, X999 class cars have completed car masteries, like all my FE cars, and all the dlc cars, all the bugatti, all the formula drift cars, all hoonigan, all the koenigsegg, all lamborghini and all pagani. And all the cars only available through forzathons, seasonal championships or wheelspins.
Next goal is to complete all barnfind car car mastery trees…
The rewards need to be better. Put more super wheel spins and cars as prizes.
There does seem to be an issue with drivatars that can make them crazy hard to beat, especially if you have upgraded your car. In all previous Forzas I have raced quite comfortably in Pro, but now I am finding it hard on some races to even get a podium with highly skilled. That isn’t just their bad racing but the first 4 or so cars seem to get a 10-15 second advantage in the first kilometre. Normally I would just lower the difficulty but HS is the lowest you get prizes for.
