…and it brought me back. At least a little bit. But it needs more and here are my suggestions:
Still more AI work/fixing,
tuning in the career mode and not to select just one car and just race with this one car without any tuning. Maybe add a tuning shop for credits like in FM 1 to FM 7.
career events,
cool music soundtrack, because FM was never a real simulation and never will be. It’s still just simCADE and a good soundtrack like it had in FM 3 or 4 would make the game also less boring.
bring back city tracks like Prague and New York. Also Monaco would be great! And it would be great to bring back Bernese Alps. Then it would be enough with recycled tracks and bring more new tracks, please.
Apart from this thread, I have another issue and didn’t just want to open another thread: six months ago FM 2023 ran flawlessly with RTGI and now i notice hitching/stuttering with the same settings. What did T10 “improve” again that actually made things worse?
I agree with almost all the points.
I insist that Forza Motorsport must reveal its video game aspect, through the simcad. This means using music that’s a little more engaging and tracks that may be fictional and may not meet the demands of motor racing, but which are in keeping with the DNA of the series.
The last update was a big step forward: let’s hope it stays that way.
The update was a big step forward for FM, but the career is still not where FM7’s career was.
A thing that bugs me since launch is the menu and the UI, whoever thought it was a good idea to simplify the menu to such an extent that it looks like from 15 years ago, has clearly no taste. Look at ACC, LMU, or even RaceRoom or Project Cars 2, all these games have nice looking menus that are easy to control. FM7’s career is still so much better than FM, and has a menu that always informs you perfectly about your progress.
Honestly, while Update 21 has finally given us the career mode we should’ve got at launch, it is still not as good as the one in FM7. We will probably not get a career mode update for another year now, so I’m giving up on this front.

When the updated career mode starts, will we be able to repeat the championships over and still get the car reward each time? Sell it on for a few credits maybe or have i misunderstood something?
they did a great job adding some needed single player content if you care about the franchise or been a fan for a while or a long time Don’t be afraid to give your own feedback by posting & making votes on cars and features & every opinion & voice matters In this community positive and
negative-constructive
specifically to the ai fixing they’re getting better but please for the love of god don’t have them move off of the racing line to let you past if you’re lapping them. That to any racing driver doing multiclass basically is a recipe for disaster as it is unpredictable and a terrible thing to teach fresh multiclass drivers.
The whole game is not evolving, yes you can implement new tracks, cars etc, but as long as the AI remains in this poor state the game will continue to be just a bad arcade race sim and nothing more.
The AI ruins the whole racing feeling. The AI bumps, ignores the player, has no warning and no anticipatory driving style. The AI reels off the laps on the route given to it and serves more as an obstacle than as a supporting element of a racing game simulation. It would be enough for me if the AI reacted to me as a player, but it doesn’t even do that. The AI doesn’t even brake when it pushes you off the track. There’s no interaction with the player’s vehicle, which means that a proper career mode is out of the question.
I have no idea which way FM will go but it’s definitely not going to be AI vs Player… this AI is not capable of that. This AI is so poorly implemented that it’s just ridiculous.
The question I ask myself is why the QM and the people in charge don’t see that. If the AI makes no effort to avoid collisions then that shows that nobody cares what state FM is in and what the future holds. Two years and nothing has changed except that the AI can now drive side by side without accidents and thus block the entire route.
and at the same time, we understand that ‘it doesn’t change anything for me, so this update is bad’.
I’ll say it again, but I’m also of the opinion that this may be one of the game’s best improvements since launch. It pretty much puts an end to FOMO, unveils a whole career dedicated to racing vehicles, makes available content that was previously blocked by time limits… once again: well done!
What direction should the singleplayer career mode go to satisfy multiplayer only players? Seems as though they have nothing to do with one another. Multiplayer mode has had support since the start of this game while the career has just received an update a year and a half after launch. Its nice to see it go in any direction.
One step in the right direction, yeah that about sums it up, now get to walking turn10!!! Keep adding events just like the ones you just added. I am actually enjoying the game because of this simple addition! Please keep adding these events…
So now we’ll have to wait and see what the developer are doing, hoping at least they will hear the community now because we all know that MS gaming is hit by layoffs and there are rumors wandering around now that the next layoffs will hit T10.
This would be sad on one side but would be the fault of T10, seen on the realistic side. FM 2023 was not the game the community wanted and they didn’t hear the community and they needed too long to react. Now they have to feel the consequences, IF the rumors are true.
Phil Spencer said “new Forza next year”. Maybe a completely new FM from another studio that is completely better with a better AI and a real career mode that celebrates cars and motorsport like GT does? We will see.
A little hope still rests in me on FM 2023 that they could save FM 2023. But it would need a really lot of work and ressources and maybe it would be cheaper to make a entire new game, “build from the ground up”
It’s a matter of fact that the sales of FM 2023 are still flying under the radar and are not seen in any toplist. MS didn’t see much money from the game till this day and this is the worst FM ever. Even FM 5 with the lack of content was much better and much more fun.
