I have found out that the most satisfying thing is not to play the game.
After doing every weekly forzathon in FH4, from the start of the series until the release of FH5 I kind of become a slave to the game. Playing FH4 gave me a lot of joy so it was kind of OK to be hooked to the game. But being hooked to a game you hate half the time is a pretty depressing feeling. Last week I did the forzathon in about 3-4 hours last Thursday (it was my only playtime that week) and this week I have played the trial once. And the less I played the better I felt.
So now I feel free from the urge to complete forzathon and that’s the best feeling Forza Horizon 5 has given me.
So that’s my review of FH5, and I was a lover of all Horizons until they ruined the last game.
But for the makers of the game that does not matter because some 10 millions players love it. So have fun you all.
Maybe I cu in FH6…
Good job getting out. I’ve been feeling the same, but I still keep worrying about the cars I’ll miss.
Yep. The FOMO addiction worked on me. Good job PGG. Could’ve just made a fun game where I’m excited to keep playing. Instead I’m like an addict, wanting to quit, but unable to.
Have you tried just enjoying the tours, open events and just driving the cars? The playlist is optional and if you create a convoy people will most likely join even if its just for a casual game of 1 vs 1 flag rush in your Vulcan AMR with no pressure to win.
Have you driven a purist Toyota 2000 gt all around the map doing arcade events and races as you go on your own mini grand tour by yourself or with friends and/or strangers?
So much more to this game than grinding for the prize cars you can buy from the AH anyway with money you can make from racing, painting and even just doing rivals laps/runs.
Not a fan of online in this game, but yes. When I do, I often run into broken interior brightness or the game crashes eventually. It’s fun when that doesn’t happen, though.
It’s optional if you don’t want the exclusive cars. I do want them.
No, because I rarely meet anyone. I don’t have any friends that play Forza, and strangers are rare in this game’s broken online freeroam.
I don’t like trying to play with the auction house and I’d rather the cars be my own from the beginning. Either way, the issues I run into frequently when trying to enjoy other parts of this game push me away, so I only come back when I’m dragged back in for the Playlist.
What I want to do is drive on my wheel and relax. But getting the wheel to work with the game is annoying, requiring unplugging it and plugging it back in and playing with the force feedback settings until the FFB finally kicks in. Interior cameras (ideal for playing on wheel) are often broken. The game crashes every few hours or more. When I want to do some Accolades, I find that many are still broken.
When I wanted to play last night, I realized what a chore it would be to get started and how likely it was I’d be disappointed, so I genuinely spent half an hour writing a post here about what I wish the game could’ve been instead of playing.
It may have its flaws and bugs, but I actually like the game, its fun and not to be taken too seriously that’s what I like in a game, that’s my opinion I don’t expect others to agree and to be honest I don’t care if they don’t. lol.
It’s entertaining and makes a lot of fun online and offline. Could not be happier. Best episode so far.
The only thing i don’t like is the still to strong AI in off-road races. It’s like you’re driving again one or two settings highter difficulty enemies.
I usually don’t invite people to my convoys. If I wanna race or play games I start a convoy and they appear. I also find people around the festival and on the roads to the houses. I play on a pad and really enjoy it. Probably not the best game if you have a rig, then, but I haven’t tried it like that.
Agree with you the only thing that makes the dev team realize that the problem with the game is to make them pay we need to be united and stop buying and playing the game if there is no more monetary benefit the company management will do something I’m sure the players have given The game and the development team have enough tolerance and understanding, but this has no meaning. Look at the gameplay reform and vehicle modification system in the gt7 game that will be released recently, as well as the paint and camera system that Forza is proud of. These are all things that Forza does not have. Although these two games belong to different genres, the reform and integration of gt7 is very obvious. Of course, the progress of Forza is also obvious. More refreshing engine sound and more customizable event creation and the collection of previous works are also obvious. There is a reduction in the base performance score of all vehicles to allow players to have more options. As for the modification system, it is only a matter of adding differentials for different events and different gears and tires. These changes are obviously not enough. As for the multiplayer mode, it is almost a nightmare. The multiplayer mode in the game has not been carried over to the new work at all. At the same time, various errors in the game affect the player’s experience.
I don’t know if you have any memories of Test Drive Unlimited 2, a game from 10 years ago. This game is almost completely in third person except driving the vehicle. You can fully appreciate your vehicle and the clothes you wear and more. The surrounding scenery, but in horizon, you can only see the clothes you wear in a few scenes. As for buying a vehicle, you can only change the color of the outside of the vehicle, but not the interior decoration color. The interaction with the vehicle is almost pitiful, and about the vehicle The amount of modification and the appearance of the vehicle are compared. The Crew 2 is a joke. It is no exaggeration to say that the game mode of horizon has not changed from the previous game. It is more like a Mexican DLC and even the version number of the game is connected to horizon 4.
History is always the same When you can’t make changes The end result is obvious. Think back to the games that were once brilliant, such as the EA nfs series, DiRT series, Ridge Racer series, Test Drive Unlimited series. These games are all representative of racing games. The results are regrettable
hello i think maybe it’s a translation error i mean the number of vehicles in the game and the vehicle’s appearance modification horizon is not comparable to The Crew 2
It might matter a little more than you think. Many of those 10 million players are Game Pass players who downloaded it, did the intro, and decided they liked other games better.
Unfortunately, I decided to wait until Wednesday evening this week to do my weekly chores in the game. I only do enough currently to get new cars. I know they’re probably going to appear again in the future. However, we could end up with another Maserati Levante situation too, where anyone that didn’t get the car on initial offering had to wait like two years for another chance.
I think in FH4 the most satisfying thing was getting a Capri FE. There is no equivalent in FH5 yet. So I would have to go with my 2nd choice which is reaching Legendary status.
