The LaFerrari's sound: Exhaust Vs First-person views

I’ve raised concern about this before and do not mind doing so again, since it went unacknowledged the first time:

The LaF has a hair-raising sound IRL. Part of that “snarly” fiery character has been captured in the game from the exhaust view.

Now, in other cars in the game, when you go to the cockpit or bonnet/hood cam, you can still hear the exhaust. Doesn’t matter if you don’t have a digital surround system, you still hear the exhaust sound even if you’re not in the chase cam, though less pronounced, naturally.

Coming back to the LaF: you shift to the cockpit or other two first-person views and the exhaust sound disappears almost completely and all you hear is a whiny ear-piercing motor that makes you want to reduce the volume. The downshifts from these views sound rather cartoony and forced as well.

Another example I’d like to use here is the F40. Beautiful sound from the chase cam. You shift to the cockpit or hood view and it sounds fake, especially the downshifting sounds.

What was wrong exactly with the F4 and 5 sound samples T10? Was all the additional tinkering really necessary?

Forza is losing its authentic character which distinctly used to set it apart from EVERY other car game and it saddens me. Not only were the physics deliberately scaled back to make the game easier and more “accessible” but the car sounds have gotten so generic. Almost all American V8s sound the same. All Euro V10s or V12s sound the same. You do an engine swap and it sounds pretty much the same on every car. You apply upgrades, and other than higher red-lining sounds, it remains unchanged.
Does it comes down to laziness on the developers part? Or simply a lack of motivation and creative thinking?

These issues will probably be patched at a later date. Keep your chin up 'till then.

To be honest, if that were the case, it would have been patched already. And it bothers me, because some sounds have been done so beautifully, doing justice to the actual car, while others just didn’t get the ‘royal treatment’. Sad. And a real shame.

This obsession with a high car count almost always comes at a price.

I hope T10 never slip into GT-territory if you know what I mean.
