I have been watching videos on forza 5 because I was going to buy it for sure, until I saw an excessive amount of videos showing the problem with free play. I use emphasis on the word free. Because free play isn’t really free. You can only drive the cars you own vs in all the other forza’s you could fool around and have fun with all the cars. I’m not going to be picking up this game until the free aspect of free play is put back into the game. I loved fooling around with cars on free play in forza 4 and what’s the point of upgrading to 5 if I can’t do what is fun.
Ummmmmm…What car have they left out? Looks like the whole car list is available to me.
Every car is available in free play.

Yeah, that’s what I thought. Chalk this up to the dangers of relying on old vids for information I guess.
In Free Play you can rent cars you don’t own. Now when you rent the cars you won’t get any XP or Credits from the run as you don’t own the car at all. I would recommend trying the car out in free play in a short stent and then purchase it if you like it. I wouldn’t run a long session in a rental car as it’s would be a waste of time and effort.
You were probably looking at an old video. You can now rent any car from the list for free to play, it an in an update
