The Eliminator - Cars (best & worst per tier)

Hi. Without any doubt this game mode is currently not that fun due to countless amount of bugs, but In the future this should become better.

Since beginning of playing (Never played FH4 eliminator) I’ve been wondering what cars are those to go with and what should be avoided.
As eliminator is in my opinion the ultimate game mode for such game, I would like to create my personal view on all cars that are present in the eliminator as at now (however I assume this is not to be changed over the future periods of time)

Please note, that all evaluation below is solely my personal opinion based on the previous experience and thus may be changed based on the comments or other proofes.
In every tier i left assurance level, that shows how much am i sure what am i writing

Tier 2:
Assurance level: low, as nobody cares about this tier
Audi RS6 03. - in my opinion the best car in this tier, with decent acceleration and high top speed.
Ford Escort 67 - second best car in this tier.
Peugeot t16 - this would be worst car from this tier in my opinion. Top speed at the level of beetle.
911 Carrera - decent choice, mid tier
VW Golf R 10 - decent choice, mid tier

Tier 3:
Assurance level: average
Audi Quattro - this is a great tier 3 level car, that manage to stay in game against level 4-6.
Ford Focus 03 - decent level car, take if nothing better available
Veloster N - another good car, however worse than Audi IMO. Take unless Audi is nearby.
Porsche Macan RR - worse car from this tier. Slow and suffers from jumps - loses its speed. Avoid.
Volvo V60 - same as with ford - decent car and can be taken.

Tier 4:
Assurance level: average
Audi S1 - decent well balanced car - however not that much of improvement over tier 3 vehicles.
BMW X5M - decent car and probably the best one in tier 4, as it is good for the offroad and accelerates pretty well.
Mini JCW Buggy - worst car out of this list - in my opinion should be downgraded to Tier 2-3. It’s slower than Audi RS6, but this car is very stable due to its construction and you probably win with it in case an opponent makes a mistake.
Lancer GSR '08 - same as with Audi S1. Decent car - can be taken.
Subary WRX '11 - same as with Audi S1. Decent car - can be taken.

Tier 5:
Assurance level: high
2069 Bronco R - this is the best car in the list. It is stable with good steering and can drive fast.
Deberti F-150 - worst car in the list - very slow acceleration, which is the key in this game mode IMO.
Ford Focus RS - decent car and can be easilly taken. Goes up to 250 kmh.
Maserati Levante - mid-tier car, take and swap to level 6.
65 911 Desert - mid-tier car, take and swap to level 6.

Tier 6:
Up from tier 6 - all cars are good and you can win the eliminator with those. In tier 6 there are no bad cars in my opinion.
Assurance level: high
Ariel Nomad - one of better cars in this tier, as it is more stable as Penhall and Exocet (basically you can’t really do a barrel roll with it or stuck in a tree or fence due to the wheels). I would go with it.
Audi RS7 - This is a road car, but it shows itself not really well in offroad. By all means i would recommend to stay on a road as long as you can to avoid speed limitations.
Exocet Off-Road and Penhall Cholla - both this and Penhall are really good cars that can easilly win even tier 7-8 players, but i must say that they are simply bad when it comes to jumping from not narrow positions, going through forest ( you will be stopped by some log that will attach to your tyre and block the movement). So you must pay attention to those situations when racing with those two cars.
185 Porsche 959 - this car is as good as ariel. It is probably the most stable car out of those with better steering than Audi, but worse top speed. Acceleration is well balanced.

Tier 7:
Assurance level: high
24 Ferrari P4 - this car is absolute disaster. The only way to win with this against tier 6 or higher - to accelerate on the road and then somehow avoid all obstacles. Once you lost your speed - you are lost and eliminated. But fun fact about this ferrari - it doesn’t lose the speed when landing after jump).
Ford Bronco - same as Trailcat - decent good car, probably as good as jeep - must have
Jeep Trailcat - same as Bronco - decent good car, probably as good as bronco - must have
Mercedes AMG GT 4 2018 - same situation as with Audi RS7. Huge top speed, but struggles off-road.
Porsche Cayenne - low-tier car. It is neither best nor worst in any things. Average acceleration, average handling, average top speed.

Tier 8:
Assurance level: high
Chevy Camaro 17 - horrible car. Same as with Ferrari, but i would say it’s even worse.
Murcielago SV - just bad at off-road. Avoid it.
MG Metro 6R4 - amazing vehicle to have a good lvl 9 or 10 before final race. Top speed sucks (210 kmh?) but the acceleration and sizes of car are just great to destroy your opponent on some small distance race.
Nissan GT-R 17 - same is RS7 and AMG GT 4.
37 Pro 2 Truck - strange car, that is not that bad (goes up to 140kmh in first gear), but at the same time you most probably lose against other tier 8 cars. It’s also very stable and huge. so forests are not your choice to go through. Overall decent choice.

Tier 9:
Assurance level: low to average
14 Ford Fiesta - in my opinion all cars from tier 9 except Jeep are very good. They are all small with exceptional acceleration and nice handling. With this tier i would like to see your thoughts regarding the cars.
Ford Hoonigan Group A - see above
Gymkhana Ford Focus - see above
Jeep Trackhawk - worst car and should not be in tier 9.
34 Beetle - see above

Tier 10:
Assurance level: low to average
25 Ford Bronco - decent Tier 10 Car - when proposed - stay with it.
Funco F9 - This car needs a skill and map knowledge. Mindblowing fast acceleration. this car has more power than it needs to have. Top speed same or higher than in centenario but it was created for the off-road. With luck and map knowledge can bear RS 200.
Hoonigan RS 200 - best car in the eliminator. Small, fast (both acceleration and top speed) and perfect in handling. When proposed - it’s a win.
Lambo Centenario - avoid as it’s bad off-road. Maybe take another race and find something else?
Mercedes AMG-One - avoid as it’s bad off-road. Maybe take another race and find something else?

Thanks for reading. Please share your thoughts and may be we can create good looking car comparison for the eliminator, as all written above is just a draft and has some mistakes for sure.

The best car in each tier ATM is the invisible ones because you don’t see them coming.

On a more serious note, I’m not a fan of the lvl 10 Funco. It’s acceralation and speed is insane but it’s handling is terrible. I avoid it at all costs and will change to any other lvl 10 car asap.

In terms of the lvl 10 centario I have no issues with using this car offroad. Offroad it can like a guided missile but it certainly makes up for it on the road. Generally I’ll blast down the highway with it to the final destination and judge when to take it offroad before I fire the missile.

As for everything else, I find there are a couple of good cars but I personally feel cars aren’t balanced aswell as they were in FH4. I can’t remember the car I was in but it was a tier 8 and I was tailing a lvl 4 car and it was performing exactly the same as mine. Same speed, same handling.

Yes,regarding funco you are absolutely right. It’s very unstable, but on open plains or roads it performs way better than other cars from tier 10. Due to its acceleration also very fine in terms of recovering after crash etc.
most of my eliminators I won with funco.

Honestly I think the mini should be an alternative starting car, it’s absolutely awful!

Hope they do add more starting vehicles, I despise everything about that Beetle and it would make the currently pointless car selection screen have some use.

Didn’t happen in FH4 though so who knows?

I thought the Camaro is a lv9 car?
Agree. With most of the OP opinion except for the Ferrari P4. It’s a very good lv7 car, even faster than the Trackhawk off road (ok, not a good example XD). Won a Eliminator in it. Another one is lv 8 #37 Pro Truck . That car was the best car in FH4 and look at what it became after it got nerfed. RWD makes it horrible at acceleration and handling. Hit a tree and you will lose to a Vocho.
Also while the Funco handles terrible is still the fastest car in this mode + wheelies!

Interesting note/post - I also won an Eliminator in the Ferrari P4. Then again, I’ve also won in the Mercedes-AMG GT and Audi RS7. I really like the GT-R, but having owned one in real life, it should be faster in the game (0-60 <3 seconds and top speed >200 isn’t reflected at all).

The Rally cars are the strongest.

That RS7 will always have a place with me, got the achievement driving that and then got the Heads Up accolade with it as well, it’s a good solid car to have if a large part of the final showdown can be eaten up on tarmac.

Still the laziest designed cars in existence though Audis, basically design 1 car then shrink or expand it for your whole range.

Excellent post - agree with all of this.
Camaro is simply a “bridge” to better cars. I nearly beat a Beetle in a 2 mile race with limited obstacles.
Mini is slow trash.

Best car is absolutely Hoonigan RS200 – this morning, I literally did a complete barrel roll, hit a tree, hit a house, and still beat nine other cars - some of whom sent sarcastic “see ya” crap.
I blew by a Tier 5 car (Levante?) at the finish line doing 150MPH. On grass.

Ferrari P4 is actually a very good car in Eliminator!

But yeah, I just want to pile on the Mini in tier 4. I think that that car is actually slower than your starting car.

There are a bunch of cars that “play above their rating” - i.e. the 959 in Tier 6.
The Ariel and it have some top-end (high speed) deficiencies, but that’s to be expected.

I nearly won a race in the Mercedes-AMG ONE, but mis-judged the final destination (high on a bridge in the rock area).
That car is fast - so long as you don’t have to steer left/right.

And won a race in the GT-R - in the rain - even after airborne tumble and roll.

Also the MG Metro isn’t really fast, but it has exceptional RECOVERY time if you hit something.

They seriously gotta get the 2WD cars out. I just passed 500 wins but I should have reached that number long ago. I’d be nowhere near 500 wins if I had only gotten wins in level 8, 9 or 10s. I’m fairly sure I have my 2nd most wins in the RS7 but my champion and ace in the hole is the X5. I have more than 25 wins that beast! :muscle::muscle:

Wow DeReoChamer, 500 wins! You’re crazy lol. You must have a high tolerance for pain.

Precisely why I always see DRC saying he’s close to quitting as just venting frustration rather than there ever being a chance he really means it.

Most won’t play 500 games throughout the game’s whole life let alone play + win that many within a couple of months of release.

500 is a lot I know lol but it’s literally the only mode I play. I have a high tolerance for reaching a certain win total. My frustrations are warranted. I do quit out of games sometimes before the final because I’m annoyed. If Eliminator wasnt in the game I’m sure I would have already quit and that’s not exaggeration or hyperbole. Eventually I’m gonna get tired of it and I bet it’s gonna be right around the time the first expansion is out and that will pull me back in to complete that new area.

FH5 eliminator just doesn’t do it for me like it did in FH4. If I want to play BR then I play Fortnite. I know what you want and that’s ranked to come back lol. Fingers crossed!

Ranked has to come back, Eliminator is keeping me around temporarily but other players that I correspond with don’t like Eliminator as much as me and they’ve already bailed. I CAN NOT BLAME THEM!

Bugs are not that “important” anymore. What needs to be improved and fixed are all these dumb gameplay mechanics we have. So, yeah, take a sit, and wait for it… people have so much time to waste, really :stuck_out_tongue:

Tier 2:
Audi RS6 03. – Preferred Level 2 car
Peugeot t16 – Least preferred Level 2 car. If there is another car drop nearby that I think I can get to, I’ll just stay in the Beetle for a few more seconds.

Tier 3:
Audi Quattro – Favorite Level 3.
Porsche Macan RR - worse car from this tier. Slow and suffers from jumps - loses its speed. Avoid.

Tier 4:
BMW X5M – Preferred Level 4 car although just above the Lancer and Subaru
Mini JCW Buggy – Worst Level 4. I will stay in a Level 2 many times rather than get this car drop.

Tier 5:
Assurance level: high
2069 Bronco R – I’ll take this any day over even a lot of Level 6 cars.
Deberti F-150 - worst car in this level but I can live with it as an upgrade to Level 4 if offered.

Tier 6:
Exocet Off-Road and Penhall Cholla – I avoid these unless I am down several levels. Don’t like how the handle on bumps or in the woods.
185 Porsche 959 – My favorite of the Level 6 options. I’ll take it over all of the other Level 6 cars any day.

Tier 7:
Assurance level: high
24 Ferrari P4 – Horrible car. I will only get it if I am in a poor Level 5 or lower.
Jeep Trailcat – About equal with the Bronco but I’m a Jeep guy so …

Tier 8:
Assurance level: high
Chevy Camaro 17 – Why does this exist in the game? I’ve stuck with a Level 4 BMW rather than upgrade to this.
MG Metro 6R4 – My favorite Level 8 but depending on the terrain, I might stick with a Level 7 Trailcat or Bronco

Tier 9:
Ford Fiesta – My least favorite Level 9 but I’ll take it over any Level 8.
Ford Hoonigan Group A , Gymkhana Ford Focus, 34 Beetle – All great cars that I feel are pretty interchangeable.

Tier 10:
Hoonigan RS 200 – My dream for for the Final Showdown any day.
Lambo Centenario – I avoid at all costs unless I am in a Level 6 or lower. Seen other people come so close to winning in this only to have misaimed the missile and miss the target.

I turned down an upgrade to to Mercedes-AMG One and kept the 34 Beetle (level 9), and literally throttled every other car in a limited obstacle final race to the stadium.
The Jeep GC Trackhawk looked more like a Level 5 or 6 car.

I also really like the MG Metro (level 8) - it’s not super fast (top end), but has great acceleration, steering, and recovery from hitting obstacles.
