Forza Horizon 5 - Eliminator Cars Ranked

Greetings! Today I’m going to rank all the Eliminator cars in their level. #1 in a level is the best car in that level, #5 is the worst, and everything else is in between. I’ll also give my thoughts on cars when I see reason to.

Level 1

#1 - VW Beetle - Well, not much to say here. It’s the only car in Level 1. It sucks, so get out of it ASAP

Level 2

#1 - Audi RS 6 '03 - By far the best car in this rank. AWD and a ridiculous top speed of 190 MPH.

#2 - VW Golf R '10 - Handles, well, AWD, and has a decent top speed

#3 - Peugeot 205 T16 - No complaints on the handling and offroading ability, but it is very slow

#4 - 911 Carrera '73 - Basically a slightly better VW Bug. Not worth taking

#5 - Ford Escort '67 - This car is RWD, constantly spins out, and has a lower top speed than the VW Bug. Avoid at all costs

Level 3

#1 - Audi Quattro - This car is fast and good offroad. Perfect for Eliminator

#2 - Volvo V60 - Despite having a higher top speed than the Audi, it feels slower and doesn’t tackle offroading as well

#3 - Veloster N - I hate that this car gets #3…it’s underpowered, it’s FWD, but the cars below it are much worse

#4 - Porsche Macan RR - Tackles offroading very well and is great through swamps. However, it has no power. Thus, it is incredibly slow and can be bested by most Rank 2 cars.

#5 - Ford Focus '03 - Like a Veloster, but significantly worse. Less power. More wheelspin. Also FWD. Avoid at all costs

Level 4

#1 - BMW X5 - Very quick, high top speed, and good offroad. A perfect all-rounder. Punches through trees and fences pretty well too.

#2 - Mitsubishi Evo IX - A step down from the X5 M, but still a decnt all-round car. Suffers from turbo lag

#3 - Subaru WRX '11 - Basically a Lancer, but not quite as nimble and more turbo lag

#4 - Audi S1 - Bad suspension and low power output. Just can’t compete with other Rank 4 cars

#5 - Mini JCW Buggy - Lower top speed than the VW Bug, and incredibly sluggish. Good suspension is the only positive about this car

Level 5

#1 - #2069 Bronco R - While it doesn’t have a top speed as high as the Focus, this car excels at offroading and is pretty quick, too

#2 - Ford Focus RS - Pretty nimble and decent offroad, good top speed

#3 - #65 911 Desert - VERY quick for a Rank 5, and good offroad. However, it has a low top speed and tends to spin out

#4 - Maserati Levante - Extremely sluggish, but very high top speed to make up for that

#5 - DeBerti F-150 - The F-150 has no right to be this bad. It has offroad tires and suspension travel for days, yet it’s RWD, overpowered, too wide for forest, and spins out at every opportunity.

Level 6

#1 - Audi RS 7 - Decent offroading ability with a 200 MPH top speed. Great for highway runs

#2 - #185 Porsche 959 - High top speed, and very offroad capable. Suffers from turbo lag

#3 - Exocet Off-Road - Very nimble and very quick. Great for, well, offroading. Who would have guessed that the car named “Off-Road” is good for offroading.

#4 - Ariel Nomad - Has all of the good traits of the Exocet, but it’s rear drive and likes to spin out

#5 - Penhall Cholla - This car is ridiculous…it gets wheelspin for days, spins out at every turn, and a pile of logs will stop it dead in it’s tracks. Don’t go anywhere near a jungle with this…

Level 7

#1 - Mercedes GT4 '18 - Basically the Audi RS 7, but with an extra 15 MPH of top speed. Good offroad as well.

#2 - Ford Bronco - Good top speed and great for offroading. This car can go anywhere

#3 - Jeep Trailcat - Better offroad than the Bronco, but hurt by a lower top speed and slower launch

#4 - Porsche Cayenne - Not bad, but not great either. It’s fine. Not best in class at all

#5 - Ferrari P4 - If you’ve never driven this car, good. You’ve saved yourself a lot of pain. Why is a RWD, overpowered, mid-engined, 1960s race car in a cross-country game-mode? The Ferrari is terrible offroad, and always spins out. It also still has the stock, 1960s road racing tires.

Level 8

#1 - Nissan GT-R - Very fast on the road and off the road. The car has a crazy launch, and a top speed over 200 MPH

#2 - Lambo Murcielago - Almost the same as the GT-R. Not quite as good offroad, though

#3 - MG Metro 6R4 - This would be an amazing all-rounder if it had a top speed over 130 MPH. Alas, it doesn’t. So it ends up down here.

#4 - #37 Pro 2 Truck - Essentially, this is a DeBerti in Level 8. It’s RWD. It’s overpowered. It’s too wide for forests. Did I mention it also likes to spin out?

#5 - Chevy Camaro - This car is insane on the road, but when you go offroad, the problems begin. Terrible RWD car with crappy tires as well

Level 9

#1 - Hoonigan Cossie - The Cosworth is a fantastic allrounder with a 220 MPH top speed, great offroading capabilty, and crazy launch

#2 - #34 VW Beetle - A great rally car with incredible suspension. 190 MPH top speed makes it a great highway run car as well

#3 - Ford Fiesta GRC - The best suspension of the Level 9 rally cars, but lacks top speed compared to the Cossie and Beetle

#4 - Hoonigan Focus - This car behaves like the Cossie does: quick and good offroad. However, a 170 MPH top speed puts it at the bottom among rivals

#5 - Jeep Trackhawk - I can’t believe this car is a Level 9 instead of a Level 6. This thing is sluggish and heavy. The X5 M in Rank 4 is a quicker car with a similar top speed. So why is this thing even here?!

Level 10

#1 - Ford Brocky RTR - The best car in Eliminator. This car can do literally anything. It has crazy suspension travel, acceleration to make supercars look slow, and a 225 MPH top speed. Is there anything “Brocky” can’t do?!

#2 - Hoonigan RS200 - Coming at a close second is Ken Block’s Ford RS200. While it is more nimble than Brocky, it isn’t enough to go up against Brocky’s supercar-killing launch and insane suspension travel

#3 - Mercedes-AMG One - This car is great for the road. With a 253 MPH top speed, it is unmatched on the highway. It’s surprisingly good offroad, too

#4 - Funco F9 - This car is just insane. 1750 HP and RWD sounds bad, but if you learn how to drive the car, this thing is a beast

#5 - Lambo Centenario - To be honest, this car brings nothing to the table. It’s just a generic supercar with an average top speed and mediocre offroading capability

That’s it for my ranking of cars in the Eliminator, I hoped this helps you rack in some more wins!

bang on about the ferrarri, camaro and trackhawk. its been discussed in another thread, but these cars dont belong anywhere near the top tier. They are objectively worse than lower ranked cars and put you at a disadvantage when picking them up enroute to your 10.

Well said. Can’t get Brocky or the RS200 if you get stuck with a Trackhawk and lose. I lost to a Level 4 Subaru in that thing once, which shows how bad it really is, considering neither of us HIT anything in that race

I take it that all these cars are good against the AI in single player too?

I agree with most of this, except for the Funco. It’s extremely hard to drive because its wheels lift off the ground so much. I much prefer the Centenario to it.

Can you convert it to AWD?

Cars in the Eliminator are pre-tuned, there’s no option to change it

The Centenario does not feel like a Level 10, more like a good Level 8 car. The Funco is hard to drive but once you get the hang of it, it will obliterate most other cars…

The only places where I’d say the Funco puts you at a disadvantage are the jungle, towns/cities, and anywhere near the temple airfield

Eliminator cars are pre tuned. You can’t do anything to make them better. Sadly, some of the cars were badly tuned or not tuned at all, such as the Cholla, Camaro, Ferrari, and DeBerti, so they end up at #5 in their rank.

In some final races Funco is great to have because in the right hands the right moment is unbeatable but if there are too many objects, trees etc it becomes a nightmare to be controlled.
Meanwhile between Metro and Camaro i would get the Camaro because the Metro with so low top speed is useless in final races most of the times and it’s not sure that i will be able to beat another h2h to get to lvl9.

For the final, the Camaro won’t do better than the Metro. Unless you get a straight highway run. There are too many trees on this map, and being RWD, when you hit trees, you don’t ever recover with the Camaro. The Metro is AWD and super light so it gets off of trees super quickly. Agreed with your point on the Funco, that thing is a beast in the right hands.

not true! check out this victory of mine against two 10s!

Yes it’s true that one of the main advantages of the Metro is how fast it can recover if you crash.

Need some luck to have two players both on lvl10 crash exactly before the finish line.

Are you the creator of this video, @SP4? If so, awesome video, I saw this a few months ago. Do you have a share code for the track? I’ve been wanting to use it for months

No, I’m not SepiSP4, it’s just that when I started actively playing Eliminator, I found this video and it seemed very useful to me. At the moment I have played about 750+ Eliminator games and won about 140+. I think SepiSp4’s video helped me better understand which cars should be avoided and which ones will help me win.
That’s why I decided to leave a link here, so maybe it will be useful to someone else.
