Hello everyone and welcome to Japan =) I’m going to tell you about the fastest way to get talent points. We’ll need a Subaru Impreza 22B, because it has a x9 experience point multiplier! This means that your points will multiply at an incredible rate!) It costs only 80,000 CR, and you only need 85 talent points to level it up. As a bonus, you’ll receive 1 Super Willspin. We pump the car up to class R (120000 CR) and in 2 minutes of destruction in the bamboo thickets (the location is attached to the map) we collect 500000 points, which is equal to 10 talent points (1 talent point is given for 50000 experience)
Not yet a little life hack enough to score 42000 points and go to the main menu and points will continue to drip for a while (this is very useful when you farm when playing a bonus song that boosts points (the time of the song stops in the main menu and points drip on)
If you farm points during the bonus song you will have instead of 2 minutes to get points order 45 seconds!!!
You can also do it in 1974 Lancia Stratos, it’s treasure car so it’s free and it also have 9x points.
What’s more, if your going to do some jobs ora history missions go there with Lancia/Subaru, because somehow car’s in events take bonuses from cars you drive to event. So you will have 9x in all events.
Whoo, that 22B is a skill point machine, even without upgrades! I took it over to that bamboo forest, maxed out the mastery tree as soon as I had enough SP, and then ran it up to 250 SP in no time at all. And then scored another eight points just driving back to my house.
It is, and theere is a skill-area east of Shimanoyama (just under the Mitshbishi Evolution barnfind); notice the chopped down trees and stacked lumber. Take a maxed up 22B up there and you`ll earn skill-points like nowhere else!
I just tried that area - it is decent, but the bamboo forest stacks up the points faster, as you also get frequent Bamboom, Air, Kangaroo and Landscaping bonuses. There are a few good spots on the map, but the bamboo forest (particularly the west side of it, away from the wall) is the best I’ve tried.
Have you tried the area just north of the Horaku time trial, near the trailblazer? Theres 2 clearcut sections of forest with stumps, logs, bumps and whatnot, and you can connect laps through both areas. I dont leave the skills counter on the HUD … because I got burn in on my TV in FH5 … so I dont know exactly what skills Im getting, but I get 10 points in faster than 2 minutes.
When skill songs play, I get more than 30, then go to the autoshow and buy a new Suburu 22b, use the 30 to unlock a super wheelspin, then just remove the car from the garage. The game is way more stingy with wheelspins than FH5 was … but doing this strategy is endless super wheelspins limited only by the time it takes to grind out 30 points and do the autoshow thing. The 22b costs 81k with the 5% discount … the super wheelpins give out enough the its easily a net profit in the long run just in terms of credits.
Also good, but the problem with the cleared forest areas is that the whole trees that on the ground can break your skill chain - the bamboo forest is free of that sort of obstacle, other than the small wall in the middle of the trail. Plus the regular Bamboom combos make it still (IMO!) the quickest for racking up the 55.5k skill points you need to get 10* in the Subaru.
I agree, the bamboo combo gives a lot of XP.
If you’re running low on bamboo trees, you can simply teleport to any other location and then teleport back to the bamboo forest, and lo and behold! All the bamboo trees are back in their proper places, and you can quickly gain 56k XP =)
I hadnt thought I was getting any broken skill chains, Ive been taking note when the xp pops up, but since you said that, I figures Id better turn skills on in the HUD and go test …
And not only did seeking out and plowing the big logs not break my skill chains (in an A class 22b), they were giving me 1200 point lumberjack skills. Nice. I tried to run into everything in the area and didnt find anything that broke em. I opened up the stopwatch thing on my phone and from a standing start until the chain banked, it was averaging about 1:35 for 60,000 x 9 skill chains. Im going to try to find that bamboo area and check that one out, to switch it up and keep it interesting.
Interesting! My 22b is tuned up to R917, I wonder if the extra speed is what’s making the difference?
I just tried a timed run on a freshly loaded, not-yet-deforested bamboo zone - it took 1.05 to get to about 45k, and then a further 25 seconds sitting still to land the combo of 59k. So pretty much the same as you.
Hooray for the scientific method! Such a shame the forums are going away, this is the sort of nonsense they are perfect for.
Tried the bamboo spot and I think it’s a little faster doing it there. From start to bank, I did it in 1:32. I gotta get used to the area though because theres traffic to watch out for if I cross the road, theres a stone wall up the road, I found one of the few unmoveable trees in the whole game going too far up the hill, and theres an extra steep bank section on a hillside that didnt break my chain but seemed dangerous. In A class at least, there was more to watch out for.
And, yeah, Im betting the logs in the clearcut area being a problem is because of the R class build. I made a little video of a skill farming run there … not an efficient run at all, but it shows logs being hit hard and skill chains keeping on. I did almost hit a car. In A class, hitting cars is about the only worry there. But theres not really a need to go near the road.
(Pardon the music if you watch this. Forget to shut off radio and its way more obnoxious in the video that it was doing it.)
This is a long method) I found a guide (and I’ve already tested it) with AFK farming (using a macro) of talent points where you can get 10 stars in 50 seconds. That’s 720 stars in 1 hour. It’s a pity that the limit is 999 stars =)
