the atrocious Morris Minor FE

It’s been a long time since I’ve had a laugh like that at something on here.

Please share your tweaks for the Morris Minor FE as well as the rest of your wisdom. I’ve got a few seconds to spare.

Can it be that it’s the cars fault and not the driver? The answer 10 years ago would be, yes you need to practice more and be better. I 2023 it is, ofcourse it’s the cars fault we need to fix that asap… and there you have it, why fh5 is what it is now.

One of the co-ops permitted the Morris Minor FE awhile ago.

I kept coming back with that car. Brilliant car.

Can I ask what your opinions of it are based on?

Thought I’d do some testing here after those posts, 5 laps of Cathedral in various Track Toys A800, using my time that’s already up there in a '69 Fairlady as the ghost to follow.

And if you want to dispute these results as a skill issue please bear this in mind, I chose this track in the interests of fairness because I briefly held the WR on it in C class.

Tuners are in brackets.

Fairlady '69 - 56.907
Donut 350Z ‘Low Car’ (myself) - 57.724
BMW M3-GTR (myself) - 57.858
Shelby GT350R (myself, downgraded to A800) - 58.300
#20 MG6 XPower (stock) - 58.425
Morris FE (Tredawn, AWD + Drags)- 58.592
Morris FE (myself, just off-road suspension + slightly lighter wheels, no actual tuning) - 59.026
Morris FE (RazorwavePro the most popular tune, RWD + Drags) - 59.293
BMW M3 GTS (Stock, A794) - 59.493

For S1 class I just scrolled through the leaderboard until I found a Minor FE, #885 was where I found it, here’s all the other Track Toys I saw before reaching it…

KTM X-Bow
Noble M400
UrbanRebel (ESV Barcode has this up there at 888PI)
Donut Supervan
Standard Supervan
BAC Mono
#25 488
488 Pista
Caterham R500
Donkervoort
McLaren 620R
BMW M4
Beetle FE

And though not a Track Toy my existing time on that track is over 400 places higher than that best Minor FE, in an 894PI Zenvo ST1.

as it’s not obvious, apparently “stunt skills” are combo skills - the yellow ones (just found out from some reddit post or other)

The Morris Minor FE looks like a stock car or drag version to me but it doesn’t have any good racing or drag engines. Would be cooler if it did, especially some drag hoods and wheelie bars

I didn’t knew the FE was a “Track Toy” and basically haven’t touched it before I read this thread but got curious and tried it out. I’ve created an S1 900 AWD build and used it in an TT Tour to see how it performs.

IMO it’s not even half as bad as some people say. Yes, it’s lacking top speed but the missing aero is no issue with slicks (upgrade). It actually handles quite well and is fun to drive.

I like it too,got a couple ive tuned as well, you need your wits about you,but realy good fun!

LOL……at the idiot trying to corner bomb at the start.

I would say A class drag tires build with AWD is decent. RWD with some tire adjustments can be effective as Rayne mentioned.

The only time I used the S1 build I made is when I was short on credits. Did rivals circuits for the most part. Of course, this far into the game, there’s no point in a credit boost S1 build for me. Haven’t touched it in quite some time.

Gave my RWD Street tires Morris FE a run at Cathedral.
5 laps, 57:5xx.
Always thought the Street build has the edge because it provides the most traction. Something the car needs.
