With the GR86 appearing in the Forzathon shop for a limited time I decided to pick up another and slap the widebody kit onto it.
Much to my surprise, with the widebody equipped this car can now have upgraded tire profiles on the front and back wheels! Not by much, but to my recollection this is the only car which you can do this to.
This has to be a new feature, right? Has anyone noticed this before? Could be fun for rally spec builds!
Edit: Excluding the Corvette E-Ray and any of the recent paid carpack DLCs I went through and tested every single car (not truck or SUV) with any and all widebody upgrades. Not a single other car had a tire profile upgrade available.

Unless you mean just with widebody upgrades, the recently added Classic Muscle cars allow you to increase the rear tire profile size.

You’re right about the muscle cars! Though even those ones don’t allow you to change the front tire profile, only the back. The GR86 appears to be entirely unique in this regard.

They did it because they noticed stock wheel fitment on the GR86 with the RB kit is awful. But I think every car should have this option, or at least most cars.

I think they’re testing it on all cars, GR86 was the first
I hope if Playground games are testing the Tire Profile Size customization in all FH5 cars, they should bring the tire profile size upgrade for most of the car in the game to the average public as they continue to update FH5 even when FH6 gets to release. Maybe if so, i want them to start this process by introducing the Tire Profile Size upgrades to all WRC homologation cars featured in FH5 in the very first update they bring with the tire profile upgrade as a priority.
The Rally Homologation Cars featured in FH5 i’m referring to as the first cars to recieve Tire Profile Size upgrades for future FH5 updates in early 2025 are:
- 1965 Mini Cooper S
- 1967 Renault 8 Gordini
- 1969 Nissan Fairlady Z 432
- 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS
- 1973 Ford Escort RS1600
- 1977 Ford #5 Escort RS1800 MKII
- 1980 Abarth Fiat 131
- 1980 Renault 5 Turbo
- 1983 Audi Sport Quattro
- 1984 Peugeot 205 Turbo 16
- 1985 Ford RS200
- 1986 MG Metro 6R4
- 1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500
- 1990 Nissan Pulsar GTI-R
- 1990 Subaru Legacy RS
- 1991 BMW M3 E30

Also, in this very same update adding tire profile upgrades to the cars i mentioned, i want Playground Games to include the option to decrease rim size down to 15 and 16 inches for the following rally cars:
- 1998 Subaru Impreza 22B-STi Version
- 1999 Ford Racing Puma
- 1999 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR
