Hello to all,

Hello to all,
Is there anyway at all to compare or analyze post session FM6 Telemetry Data?
Depends on what you mean - Telemtry shows up in Rival replays, I’m not sure if it does in race replays or not. But I wouldn’t look for it there. But every ghost that you can watch in rivals shows telemety as an option while viewing the ghost. So you can see gearing, how much throttle is applied, brakes Tire pressures etc…
Just a question, you mean gear shift change points, right…?? Just asking.,it’s the basic multiple telemetry windows, right??
Yes, watch another ghost of some one good and see when they shift. (Rpm/ and HP) when, where on track in order to get better. I can see where what I said was a bit misleading. I suck at writing and typing
Thanks heaps, most appreciated. I’m a ‘sound’ guy myself, and with the hew Elite Controller, I seem to be able to ‘feel’ the car a lot better now than with the standard controller.
Yes yes, to those that say “you need a wheel…etc etc” my home is just that, a home, not a huge man-cave lol. So the lounge, well, looks like a lounge room should. Hehehe…
So relying on both sound and feel helps me with shifting. But watching ghosts foes help iron out the various race lines ppl use.
They can tell you all sorts of things, often I’m paying attention to when they come on throttle is feathering or 100%, when they brake how much, what gears are they in, and then when do they shift.
I do the above especially if I’m in same tune and I usually watch the tuner replay if they are fast (venom, harmonic, box, motorhead, ivorbigun etc. – everyone really. They typically tune the car for themselves so see hoeing they approach the course in the car they tuned tells you a lot.
I hear you on the man cave. I got a couple years and then the kids go get lives of their own and I get a man cave to pace my racing memorabilia and set up PC (3 screens) and wheel set up (possibly)-- I’ve eyed the elite controller a bit and thought about adding to the height of the sticks to the standard controller but I figure I got some normal items to improve and it’s not necessarily the game interface. But the gamer that still needs improvement
Re the Elite. The higher stick does nothing other than give your thumb a serious case of stress after a long stretch. The turning circle left to right remains the same as a standard stick, as the diameter of the standrad stick is identical the the replacement Elite sticks.
If anything, the shorter ones give you more presice directional control mate. But you can adjust the sensitivity of them, as well as setting full throw of the triggers so that the slightest touch starts accel, all the way yo complete depression.
Brakes are much easier to control as well. Settings for triggers are great. Don’t be pressured into believing all the hype about shorter throw being better. Especially the gimmicky ‘trigger stops’ etc A full depression style trigger gives you much more precise control over the acceleration.
I can feather the accel a lot better with the Elite. Plus, the feedback motors are a lot bigger, heavier magnets and the whole thing feels very very solid in your hands. Plus the vibrations are much more preside in the Elite than standard. The weight isn’t a set back as some say. In fact it ads to the sense of control over the game being played.
I don’t use the paddles at the moment however. Tried initially, but got all kitafisted and gave up.
But I will be starting to use he righthand long one on the second position, position closest to end of handles. I’ll be using it for clutch when I start trying my hand at manual with clutch.
Presently I use manual without clutch… But to tell you the truth, in the quicker cars, and with race boxes and lightened flywheels fitted, gear change pick up is very quick indeed. Have followed several ghosts with manual clutch and while they flat-change, my change is very similar.
I’d love to grab a second if I can figure how to pull one apart… I’d open out the origices the left stick sits in. That way the throw left/right travels further. Thus would tentatively give you more steering throw left/right.
I did this with the first Xbox and the first 360’s, but haven’t attempted it on current gen controllers.
I have a decent 65" 4K 3D HDTV that turns any SD film into pure gold. So Forza looks amazing. Doing paints is fare easier to see small misses one would not see on a smaller screen.
I have a nice lounge laid at a 90 deg to the screen, plus one facing it for watching films etc. the one at the side suits driving in Cockpit perfectly, especially laying down lol. Feels more ‘real’ to some degree.
But do get an Elite when you can. And, the packaging is very Applish… And comes in a very nice solid carry case… Amazing presentation and a great product for the money. You can tailor them to suit your own style completely. You’ll not want yo handle a not,al controller afterwards.
In FM5 I was able to view all telemetry game data such as # of perfect passes, # of good passes etc…does that screen even exist anymore? I looked for it in Options but could not find one!!
Thanks guys, I will take your advise. Just one thing, How can I see their replays? I know how to get their tune (altrough I know it can’t be seen), but dont know how to get their replay.
BTW, I got a wheel. It is amazing!
Go into Rival - instead of starting from default rival - select the leader board - select the person that you want to view - and you will have the option to set them as your rival or watch the replay (they must have a half circle in the File section to see the replay or ghost)
Select watch replay - then I would change the camera setting to your preferred driving view - then on the bottom switch on the telemetry.
A Gran Turismo style telemetry would be awesome for helping people with setups and driving. For those that don’t know you could load two best lap replays and view the throttle trace, braking, speed and gears, all shown on various graphs along with position on track.
