Jets v. Sharks

Race Slicks v. Stock Tyres
Dubstep v. Actual Music

Enough already.

Stop it.

Seriously, stop it.

It’s grown increasingly apparent that some of you are simply incapable of behaving and engaging in civil and respectful discussion with one another without it devolving into petulant children fighting on a playground.

Let’s either keep the rules in mind or do ourselves a favour and not comment at all.

No naming and shaming.
No profanity.
No trolling.
No baiting.
No personal attacks.
No making moderators come into threads and start handing out bans to get things back under control.
And absolutely no attempting to justify dubstep as anything other than a sonic abomination.

Go Jets!

Man what happened? I’m gone for a weekend comeback and the forum is full of locked vs threads, it saddens me to see the drifting community so against each other when we are all doing the same damn thing

HOW DARE YOU CORRECT ME! FEEL THE WRATH OF ALL CAPS!

I feel like the conversation should be had. (I don’t know about all that dubstep stuff), but people just get way too defensive. The forum vets who hate change, and want things to be the way they were, and the newcomers who want everything to change to suit their needs. I’m not excluding myself from the club of butthurt, guaranteed if you scroll back in my post history I’ve said some nasty things to AWD drifters, but so long as both parties are civil I can’t see why it cannot be discussed.

Not like a few more posts in the DL would hurt, it’s Super Dead 64 in here.

If everyone could put their ego’s aside then there wouldn’t be all these arguments. Can’t they all come together and be a team? Be a community? That’s the point of the forums isn’t? To be a community.

Made a thread how the Drift community was going downhill a year ago. Half the community laughed at me and look what happen. Its going to take a miracle for the DL to be somewhat OK. We all can keep dreaming.

I will be honest, when it comes to online drifting in public lobbies, I tend to base more on points drifting just because I am trying to rank up. That doesn’t mean I want my drifts to look ugly as hell. I want to have a clean drift, but also get the most out of it as I can.

On another note, I love tandem drifting. Even though I suck at it, the style is fun. I think people should not hate on how others drift. Maybe they just can’t accel at it and choose not to? As many of you have heard, “Keep Drifting Fun.” Don’t hate on others and the way they drive. Unless they hit you. That’s a different story.

That’s a great point, I hope that turn 10 will be tweaking the lobbies… they have the Unlimited drift events, but for a lot of guys who use A & S let alone C & B classes these are impossible to play because you will DNF every race. Hopefully the monthly event “Production Drifter” will get a good response. Production cars under 600 HP, will allow guys in lower classes to actually play online in lobbies.

Open things up a bit and merge the gap, if turn 10 were smart they would promote it. Get the older vet drifters who seem to be forced into “private lobbies” in the same lobbies as the newer players who have only experienced the unlimited events. Only way this “pissing match” is going to end is if there is a common area for everyone to get together and collaborate, on the same track. Because as of right now the online events, seem to force a disparity in the community. You have to use AWD or RWD, and it has to be S or X class no exceptions. Turn 10 needs to push a few other lobbies, open the world up so everyone can have a good time together… rather than the lobbies themselves forcing a divide.

I like your philosophy, unite the lounge… with a common hatred for dubstep. You are clearly a gentleman and scholar, well played good sir… well played!!!
