I feel the need to say this

Please keep in mind this is mostly opinion oriented, from myself and others I have talked to.

To all of you points drifters who mostly spend your time in public lobbies… Stop the drag tire use / brake drifting. Most of us understand your inability to pull high score laps without using those methods. But stop being a self centered prick and think about the other people in the lobby. Just because its good at getting points doesn’t mean you need to use it… You get in the way of a lot of people, and screw up multiple people by being so slow. So if you could take this into consideration next time you go drifting… that’d be great so nobody gets messed up and upset because you causing them to mess up.

This seems like an attack because it slightly is, but its just something to think about. Start flaming all you want, itll just show you’re immature.

They are using drag slicks in circuit lobbies also to dumb down over powered cars.

You can still drift fast with drag slicks the ones you have to watch out for are the people that are still using high tire pressure in the rear to drift. Don’t know about the brake drifting because I don’t do it personally.

Hey bud if you’d like to give everybody who bought this game 60 dollars each then please be my guest and make all the rules you want but since that’s highly impossible for you theres something you need to understand, your rants, are pointless they will do nothing no one will listen to you you’re wasting your time posting this because they bought this game and they can do what ever the hell they want with it, so if that’s drifting with 1000hp and drag tires while holding the brakes down or whatever else they want to do they can do it and no one can make them stop doing that because they paid the money for the game, for the console, for the subscription and I can promise you that some guy on the fm.net forums ranting about their drift style will not change their minds

Holy crap you are narrow minded. I just said that was all opinion based, you dont gotta get all but hurt about it.

Yep that was me being buthurt considering that I don’t points drift and could care less about how you’re unable to follow behind a slower car, regardless your “opinion” should be kept to yourself if you know people are going to flame this and even though you said that it’s your opinion it’s still a rant no matter how you look at it you’re ranting about something that will never get solved or even considered.
On the subject of butthurt… If you took the time to post this rant about drag tires “ruining” your points scores then clearly you’re the one who’s butthurt, I just replied to ensure that you don’t make the same mistake next time.

You’re welcome

Nope never said they ruined my scores, because I honestly don’t care about points. I said that if you hurt their points they will be the ones getting upset about it. And way to act like you’re all tat buddy. Its no surprise the community is falling to pieces.

I just find it annoying when people feel the need to take the fun factor out of the game ( since games are Suppose to be about fun…) and make it Ito a hostile and unnecessary competition to see who’s oh so much better at a video game

I’ll start this out by saying i don’t drift, and believe i have an unbiased opinion, since there seems to be more lively discussion in the drift forums I’ll give my two cents.

Since you can get a score, in theory the goal of drifting would be to get the highest score possible. Some people find that fun while others don’t.

Now looking at the fun factor is when it gets interesting. Let’s say on average you have 60 points of fun during a race without any “slow” drifters but when they are in the lobby you only have 40 points of fun. If those “slow” drifters also have 60 points of fun in every race without any “fast” drifters but when they are forced to drift differently they might only have 20 points of fun.

If you think your way is the only way to score fun points and everyone else is wrong “your gonna have a bad time”

Ill start this off, by saying this is only my personal opinion.

If you want to start adding your own rules to a lobby, go do a user created lobby.

if you haven’t got enough friends to fill one, use the internet to make some friends, and get a lobby going.

This is already the process. But it is a bad process.

With User Created Public Lobbies, you could advertise in game, the sort of lobby you are trying to fill. Not everyone visits the forums. I’d venture to say, we are a small portion of the community. So currently, we have no way to advertise a Tandem lobby to those who don’t come here. We used to be able to add a lobby to a public list with a name of “Tandem No Race Tires” (or what ever name you chose) and then moderate your own lobby by allowing only those who comply with your rules to remain in the lobby.

This was the best method of keeping the community together and in line with the “house rules” which have been developed over the years.

Apparently one or more persons have yet to receive the memo.

Thread locked.

Have a nice day!
