Hey guys, currently I am working on a grip build for my mk4 Supra. It’s almost there but one issue I still need to work out is responiveness, it’s power currently sits at 615hp but it does not feel that responsive, I want it to feel fast but driveable and not overpowered. Who else is doing a grip build for the Supra and what do you guys think would be a good solution? (gearbox, power, etc.)
What do you mean responsive? In the steering? Forza front bumper, race suspension, roll cage and sway bars, weight reduction, race tires and don’t make the rear tires much larger if any than the front. Front bumper helps turn in response at high speeds, suspension and sway bars can be adjusted for understeer or oversteer depending on what you like (consult tuning guide for more info, or just read descriptions ingame), and keeping the rear tire the same width as the front reduces understeer dramatically. If you want a responsive engine then assuming you’re using the stock motor or 2j, fully upgrade with no boost upgrades (you can have a single turbo swap if you want) to have a powerful motor that doesn’t want to spin out every time you hit 4500rpm. If you need more grip don’t be afraid to make the rear up to 20mm wider but any bigger and I find understeer occurs. Excuse the poor grammar and readability but I’m typing on a phone lol.
In terms of power, the single turbo conversion helped a lot, thanks for the advice.
