Super Saloon

I just have a quick question. Why is the Cadillac CTS-V the sedan or the coupe not included in the Super Saloon category but only in the Modern Muscle category? These are cars that are mentioned in the same breath as the others in the Super Saloon category. So why can’t they join them so they can be raced together in leagues? And is not an American thing, because the Tesla is included in Super Saloon category and it’s most definitely an American car.

Corvettes are all considered muscle cars, except the very first ones. C2 through C7 are all in some category of muscle but they should be in sports cars or GT cars.

The 46 woody is in classic muscle as well, and it should be in rods and customs or rare classics.

For some reason they didn’t pay very much attention to where they were placing American cars.

Yea I dont get why the M2 was in the European sports cars category with the Lotus & Alfa 4C as opposed to the Super Saloons one where it belongs, or the Vulcan in Hypercars when its an Extreme track toy.

M2 is a coupe not a sedan. Saloon is for sedans.

But the M4 is in Super Saloons when it’s a 2 door coupe and has more in common with the M2 than any other car in the game. Both should be in European Sports Cars … and the CTS-V should definitely be in Super Saloons.

Probably related to performance grouping more than body style. Two thirds of the Super Saloons have less than 500hp while the Modern Muscle cars have more than 400hp and the Cadillacs are in the upper half of their range.

And why is Crown Vic Retro Muscle? It’s Modern Muscle.

The Crown Victoria’s 2010 model year is outside the 1987-2000 range for other Retro Muscle cars, but this generation of the Vic started in 1998, maybe that’s why.

I hope they continue the trend of loosening up on the categorisations as the arbitrary choices made in Forzas can be a bit frustrating.

The Aussie Rules category is a pretty frustrating one that shouldn’t have passed muster.

I’m not a fan of how they group cars, they should have Multiple groups for some stuff. In Horizon 2 the Fiesta was classed as a Rally Day Hero (whatever that means) and couldn’t be raced with its actuall real life competitors like the Clio RS etc. Its the same issue with the American cars, if its American it must be a muscle car, which is silly, I want to race the Corvette, SS, CTS-V, Viper and Charger against the cars the actually go against, I don’t want to race a Corvette against a Charger and a Mustang.

Its like classing the Transit van, Jag XFR_S and Range Rover as British Roadsters because we are known for the classic British Roadster. If we think about the Jaguar XFR-S and the HSV GTS for a second, they are both rear drive V8 4 doors, both are more aggressive in looks and power with vents and wings, so what makes one a super saloon and the other a muscle car?

I know in FH3 we have the freedom with the blueprints as I created my own Super Saloon championship and included the HSV GTS, CTS-V, Falcons and Charger in it.

Another odd one was T10 classing the Mazda 3 MPS as a “Wagon” or an Estate, when it is just a regular Hatchback , so it couldn’t be raced against its IRL rivals like the Focus and Astra.
