I was curious if any of the half dozen or so Aston Martins from the James Bond Car Pack would count. But alas, it appears they do not. It appears only Aston Martins categorized under Aston Martin as a manufacturer counts.

I am disappointed in the GMC Syclone.
I loved this car. And I was looking forward to the day this car would return to Forza again.
But they have released this car again with a degraded UV map from FM5 onwards.
In the Forza up to FM4, this car was a car that could also be painted with the plastic panel area on the bottom of the body. Why do they still leave these panels unpainted? I’m very disappointed.

If they had never fixed these degraded UV maps, I would have put up with it.
But they have fixed these degraded UV maps in AE86. Why didn’t they do the same for Syclone?

I’m disappointed that the Wayne’s World clue wasn’t for the AMC Pacer X; I was really looking forward to that. I was also looking forward to the Fiat Supersonic, another wrong clue answer.
Happy to see the GMC’s, though.

Wow, the Trial has been a trip.

I have an Audi R8 that is simply lovely. So far been able to turn a 2:05 on Cotswolds. In one race, I was about 10 seconds ahead of the lead AI. However in my first race was a 650 Spider that I just could not catch at all, despite being far ahead of the rest of the AI. Haven’t seen it since. Be wary, the force is not always active, but when it hits can push you all the way across the track. So far there has been a variety of different fields of drivers as one might expect. So it took me 6 runs before I finally had a group that could race, actually negotiate sharp turns, and out-performed the AI. Sadly, in the last race, it turned into an outright war for bragging points I guess, since the race didn’t matter, we were already 2-0. I have a Nissan prepped and I want to also run something I haven’t yet, so looking for suggestions.

I’ll post back when I have finished the rest of the Playlist.

I’m not sure when I’ll have time to try it myself, but if anyone wants to give it a try, the Syclone might be decent for drifting. I did a ranked drift adventure last night, and there was a player with close to 5k rating who used the Syclone to beat everyone. Hard to say how much of the winning margin was his skill rather than the car, but it certainly seems worth trying it for drifting.

Finally a bit of time to post, but not much creativity (too tired), just reused few already used cars/tunes.
I did everything yesterday night and starting with trial it was nice, along finally meeting someone who was faster then me (a very speedy LFA), so 3x 2nd and 3:0 for team.
We also got that speedy McLaren AI, but both LFA and my Lambo could pass it.
So road racing in S1 900 modern super car Lambo Huracan LP-610, tune - 488 011 727

Moving to solo championships and starting with highest class, it was road racing with Ferraris,
S1 900 Ferrari Portofino, tune - 402 894 592

Next was Mercedes Benz inspired dirt racing, where I should probably use Top Gear MB, but since G wagon did the trick, I didn’t bother
A 800 Mercedes Benz G 65 AMG, tune - 429 278 896

To last solo championship and its street racing, with retro muscle cars … its gonna slide some, as it runs on stock tires
C 600 HDT VK Commodore Group A, tune - 107 914 492

Vintage racers are Forzathon cars and what best thing to use then Napier-Railton, eh?
So A 800 Napier Railton, tune - 761 994 489 and since it runs on rally tires, I went to Mudkickers 4x4 dirt race, to get those showoff skills, then it was time to speed 4 times trough Astmoor speed trap (can easily 3 star it, since low requirement) and finished on my custom blueprint road race at Derwent Reservoir Sprint, code - 941 043 519.

PR stunts as usually done with my offroad tuned Agera RS, tune - 167 849 655 for speed trap and danger sign, used McLaren Senna, tune - 176 256 116 for speed zone.

Finished with a lil pic of my Aston

As alwasy hope this can be of any help to someone, take care everyone and have fun, bb

Edit
Since LFA got better of me, I also try to tune it and seems fairly capable car, with good soundtrack. Tune - 948 485 989

Win the trials 2 time with my Ferrari 458 Italia. Super fast and well balanced especially on the sprints as it is tuned with a little of oversteer to keep speed in corners. I tried the 911 turbo as well but it proved to be slower on every track

The Trial - I have yet to tune up other cars for this, but I know I will. This has a feel for repeat playability. Anyway, ran an Audi I already had tuned up and it runs well. Good acceleration, decent grip, so it’s pretty good at setting a pace and holding it. Aside from the initial run with a 650 Spider that was terribly fast, I held the front in almost every race. The first race finished with a 2:05. Trying to do a little better, there are some turns I can tighten up a little.

2013 Audi R8 Coupe Tune: 873 962 704

PGG - Ok, so I ran this more because I like the livery I did for it. lol. It runs ok, but it is too big for the trees and other obstacles. It handles ok, but constantly getting caught or redirected off of something. Plus, there are still people dropping out because they don’t realize they get credit no matter.

2012 Cadillac Escalade Livery: 392 798 243 “Autism Caddy”

Muscle Beach - Ran an Impala with rack, pushbar, and low-pros. Ok, so I was just being silly, but this thing actually did quite well. I alternate between Pro and Expert, but this was on Pro. Very good acceleration but could use a little more top end, but hey, 600 pts! A bit slidey due to stock tires but certainly doable.
1996 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport Tune: 635 537 884

Competition - I had the Dino already tuned from another event, a street race, I think. It is fast. Great acceleration off the line. It could use a little more downforce to help with the traction in the turns. But a fun ride.
1969 Ferrari Dino 246 GT Tune: 127 330 192

The Best - Ok, so I had tuned up a Merc X-Class for a German car S1 900 CC event a few weeks back. I was taken back at how well it performed. So I knew I wanted to run one for this as well. The first track is half road so it did suffer a bit, but once you hit the gravel, it rally styled like no tomorrow. The last race, the farm one, it just tore. That first turn was a little tricky on the second and third laps because you catch air just before the finish line, so it makes it tough to slow it down well. But it tore on the straights and full rally slide around the curve and under the bridge. Finished a good bit ahead of the AI.
2018 Mercedes X-Class Tune: 700 118 498

I forget what I ran on two of the PR stunts, but I am still trying to decide what I want to tune for the Drag Race. I have yet to tune a dedicated drag car. Do the slicks make any difference considering the race tires have better stats?

I haven’t tried to tune drag car, I just use DJS tune on Shelby Monaco KC and it can easily clock 350 kph on festival drag strip, starting from the lights (Agera needed a bit of run up, to pass seasonal challenge).
Maybe I should try myself at tuning for drag and drift, but not really fan of either, so …

I’m sure we had a Modern Supercars trial pretty recently which included Cotswold but I’m not complaining. Took me three goes to complete successfully as I got d/ced first time 80% of the way through race 3 and team was incompetent second time.

Used the 570S for the third attempt. Won the two sprints relatively easily. Ran about 2.00 in the first one but could go quite a bit quicker if I hadn’t got smashed into the wall on the first corner. Someone in an ATS beat me on the circuit. I got delayed at the start and never properly got him in sight but i suspect he was probably wall riding as I did two quick laps (sub 40) once I’d got clear of everyone else without gaining much at all.

Summer complete! Got my Syclone and super happy to have one of my favourite Forza 5 online cars back in my garage.

Here is what I used: -

Photo: Aston Martin DBR1

Stunts: - Ferrari 599XXE & Koenigsegg Agera RS

Weekly Forzathon: Mercedes-Benz W154

It was a prize car and I already had one painted a sleek Cadbury purple, so used my MB W154. Really nice car to drive. Seems the more power you add the better it gets in the corners! Had a big smile on my face as I threw this egregiously expensive, overpowered antique around with absolute abandon.

Trial: Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera

Wow, the trial was danger zone as it gets! I’ve never seen such an out of control field! Won the first race by a country mile, but only managed 3rd then 5th after getting caught in a couple of Lamborghini hurricanes!

In retrospect I should have gone for power to push through the mayhem, but we had another hare on the team and they won race 2 and 3. 'Mainly used it cause it has Meng’s paint from NFS MW. It was also the first car I bought in the auto show and I hadn’t thrashed it in awhile. xD

PGG: Maserati Levante

I’ve been waiting to use this for something fun and it did not disappoint! (If a car were ever to become a goalkeeper then it must be this one! It denied sooo many flags.)

It was a really fun and competitive 3-2 overall victory for my team that went back, forth and to the wire. I sucked in survival, which is normally my best game, but killed it in TK and flag rush. It was going to be a 3-1 loss until the final seconds of TK when I managed to force a crash and use every single horse of that Ferrari engine to not get tagged as the final seconds ticked down to nick it and help spark the comeback. Back to winning ways!

The Best: Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG

I have always had a soft spot for this gentle beast and knew it would be good. Its handling is samurai precise, its stable, doesn’t get bullied and it’s got enough power to pull a house. Easy peasy victories.

Muscle Beach: Ford Mustang '93 SVT Cobra R

Another old favourite! This thing drives beautifully as a momentum car and has the most fantastic second gear which seemed to push me past pretty much everything with minimum stress as I drove it with my cigar out. Super super stable and like E63 absolutely destroyed the unbeatable drivatars by up to 7 seconds.

Competition: Ferrari 812 Superfast

Another car I’d been intending to get round using eventually. Really nice handling, modest speed but enough grunt to beat out the Lusso’s and win me all 3 races against the unbeatable drivatars with no fuss. Nice car if you want something that’s good but not OP.

Onto Autumn!

The Syclone is a good drive, but when it comes to upgrades it isn’t really anything special.

In practice the first new car we’ll get this month is the Velociraptor and only in Spring… since the Typhoon is bascially the Syclone with a trunk instead of a bed.

Hello and late again… (busy busy)

Cars/tunes/suggestions for this weeks seasonal events for those that find such useful. All tunes are my own, unless otherwise noted, all shared by myself (or others). ~ tune name / share code. If you use anything offered here, and you like it/it was useful to you, please don’t forget to leave a like.

Online:
**Trial: “Trial By Television” | Road Racing | (S1 900) Modern Supercars
**Car used: 2015 BMW I8 (Autoshow 140,000 Cr)
**Tune: S1 Road Trial / 366 158 783

Honestly just picked this car some what at random, as the various Ferraris and Lambos didn’t appeal, and I had never used it before. A some what quick try vs. solo/offline unbeatable A.I. on the Trial tracks let me know it was a viable car/tune, so off to the Trial it went In the Trial, the A.I. are a non issue and can be passed with ease (provided no issues with teammates, or over the top A.I. misbehaving), passing and placing vs. teammates will very much depend on their quality, for myself, I managed deadlast on the first race, due to a mishap (3rd to 12th), 2nd (one of how teammates was both high prestige (4) and both fast and a good driver), and 3rd (beaten out of 3rd at the last moment by a teammate, start of this race was a mess, massive pile up, the high prestige driver, and a couple of A.I. got free early, and managed a lead that could not be caught). Worth mentioning, first time I have done a Trial where all cars were tuned, high level and low level players alike. Tune is AWD as stock, FH race tires, Forza air.

**Seasonal Playground Games | Mortimer Gardens | (A800) Sports Utility Heroes
**Car used: 2015 Porsche Macan Turbo (Autoshow 105,000 Cr)
**Tune: A800 Games / 182 584 789

Win, lose, all a win. We lost, although I don’t think the winning team (final result 3-1) were happy when I almost single-handedly stole the infected win from them while they out numbered us! This car/tune for my event was one of the fastest on ground, very good on handling, forced quite a few opponents into trees when they could not weave as I could. Tune is engine swapped for 6.2L V8, appearance wise, no body-changes, no aero.

PR Stunts:

  • Queen’s Drive Speed Zone, 2018 VW #94 VW Motorsport ID Pikes Peak, no tune,
  • Horizon Drag Strip Speed Trap, 2019 Rimac Concept Two - ‘PR Stunt Rally’ (120 633 544),
  • Outcrop Crest Danger Sign, 2019 Rimac Concept Two - ‘PR Stunt Rally’ (120 633 544).

Solo championships - Raced against Expert, Steering: Simulation, ABS: on, Traction/Stability: Off, Gearbox: Auto.

**Championship: “Muscle Beach” | Street Scene | (C600) Retro Muscle
**Car used: 1987 Buick Regal GNX (Autoshow 130,000 Cr)
**Tune: C600 Road / 172 945 880

The GNX is a good fun, if somewhat slippery, drive. No real issue with wins for all races. I don’t know if something is changed, all my system now just runs correctly, but there was a lot of traffic cars in this event for me. Tune runs stock tires, is RWD, and so can be slippery at speed in corners, and under braking (brakes are slightly updated, but not fully), wides in back, narrow in front. Tune is, as stated RWD, stock tires, with no aero.

**Championship: “We Are the Competition” | Road Racing | (S1 900) Ferrari
**Car used: 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa (Autoshow 10,000,000 Cr)
**Tune: S872 Road Max OG / 118 533 168

The playlist keeps giving us this car, have not heard anyone talk about it, beyond the giving, so wanted to see how it preforms - and have to say I was happy with the result At the least, having a tune for it might make it easier to sell (yeah, I have sold everyone of them so far, just take a bit) - also this makes this expensive car easy to get if some new wants to try it and doesn’t have it as yet.
The only issue I had in the races was the system making the chosen ‘A.I. winner’ slightly quicker than the rest of the pack, so each race was - get through the pack quickly, and catch the lead as soon as possible after that - car/tune is good, but has a lower top speed than its modern sisters, you can not stay in the pack too long. A nice drive, some times twitchy in the rear if movements are too abrupt. Tune is AWD, has Forza air, FH race tires, supercharged. Car/tune is at the max P.I. reachable based on upgrades chosen, I could have given it a few more P.I. (not 900) but the weight gain wasn’t worth

**Championship: “The Best or Nothing” | Dirt Racing | (A800) Mercedes-Benz
**Car used: 1929 MB Super Sport Kurz Barker Roadster (Car pass ~ Autoshow 5,000,000 Cr)
**Tune: A793 Dirt V12Max / 155 631 038

Now for the fun, what-if racer. This is maybe not a car/tune for beginners, very quick on dirt for a car with very skinny tires (195). Once you know how it handles, and how to handle it, I found this to be a very fun drive, just never forget the tires are thin, and grip can vanish in an instant. I guess it will depend how your system handles your opponents, or if it will do roughly the same-thing across all systems, but I found the A.I. challenging/competitive, but not difficult to beat, no matter the more modern, and more appropriate the choices were. Tune runs rally tires, no aero, AWD, engine swapped for Vintage 3L DSC V12. Again, car/tune is at the max P.I. reachable based on upgrades chosen, I could have given it a few more P.I. (not 800) but the weight gain wasn’t worth it to me.

Enjoy!

WangKeRui,

Re: lead AI. I have found that with Expert/Pro/Unbeatable there is typically one car at least a few seconds ahead of the rest. Did a pro recently where I was ahead of the 3rd place car by over 12 seconds…but the lead AI was only 2 or 3 seconds behind me. Or that bit where you get caught up with some crazy AI antics, sideways driving, random swerving…and now have to catch that AI who got to run unimpeded. It’s just whatever anymore.

I was laughing a little when you said the thing about PGG infected game. We started out PGG one player down. We were down to 6 on 3 by Infected. There were three times when they had only one car left uninfected, the first time was pretty early on. I so so wanted to be able to pull off that upset. The Escalade was great for being a Zombie but not recommended for the rest, or at least so with my tune, but it is a beast no matter.

Re: “The Best of Nothing” You and PassionWagon inspired me to run the W154. I don’t have the Kurz, but the W154 has the same narrow tire issue. (Ran into that with the Bentley 4 1/2 liter in a former event) The W154 is a great ride in the gravel. It is super quick, great off the line, needs to be tender in the corners on tarmac, but once it hits the gravel it is super fun. The Farm track in particular is a blast. Try it yourself, or I can post my tune if you want.

Yeah, post/share yours for the W154, I already looked, and saw it is not shared as yet? Time permitting I can run it in the event, or just clones of the event tracks. Would be interesting to see another take on the concept, even if not the Kurz.

Haha! It was. It’s so much fun dancing that W154 around on the loose stuff with those bicycle wheels and all that power, Ingoingcake8592. I’m gonna try that Astmoor Hill climb with it next.

Ahh I finally got the LFA. I’ve wanted one ever since it released but I missed my chance. It sounds intoxicating, they really nailed the exhaust.
