I was already having a huge problem with stutters and gpu usage spikes.
After the update that droped yesterday, it all got worse, I searched everywhere for the solution, nothing works…
And also, no official answers from the devs… not a single “We’re trying to find the problem”.
Happening to me since the last update as well. What are they doing? It also crashes like crazy.
Not sure of your setup, but I found that the 416.81 nvidia driver tanked my framerate and increased resource stalls dramatically on my 1080 - like framerate dropped from a solid 90+ average to 60’s with more frequent stalling and quite a few dips into the mid to low 50’s. I did a clean reinstall to 416.34 and it solved my issues, though I do seem to recall 416.16 being a bit faster still when that was current so if you’re running nvidia you may want to give that a shot.
Until a week ago I was playing with the game on High-Ultra most settings without any issues, then they made that route creator update and soon after I started having heavy input lag. I know the game has forced frame smoothing so something’s causing the game to lag, and soon I realized how my CPU constantly sits at 100% load and GPU at like 60-70%, this is on a i5 4690 and a GTX 1060 6GB…now I have to play on low-medium, with most things off to be able to play without having 1-2 seconds of random input lag spikes. Now CPU sits at 70-80, with random spikes to 90-95% and GPU sits at 40-50% because for some reason most settings affect CPU even if they say they don’t. If i put reflections on anything more than Very Low it immediately gives me input lag again. 2 of my friends experienced same issues at around the same time, they had to move from High to Low just to not get stutters and input lag.
I currently have an AMD card, RX 470 to be more especific, I thought about the drivers too 
, tried 3 different ones, but no results.
Thought it was a overheating problem too, but my temps seem fine, so I have 0 clues on what it could be

Me too. I solved a ticket with support 3 weeks ago and have not received an answer yet. The demo and ran the game with my GTX 1070 first easily. After the update, the game stutters very much, it is unplayable.
Same problem with the ticket, I mean almost the same haha, I couldn’t even send the ticket, It gave me an connection error when I clicked the link that they send to your email.
One of the few things that helped me a little about the stutters was, when I played on windowed mode (and by that I don’t mean changing it on the video options, I mean pressing Alt+Enter), the game seemed to stutter very less, but be aware don’t Alt+Tab, it will cause the game to stutter even more badly than before…
I just don’t know what is going on in this mess of optimization, but I hope they fix this soon
