Hi. I’ve now noticed that there’s no traffic at all at the street scene rivals. Which would actually make no sense. Is that intentional or is that a bug? Thanks
It makes total sense. The addition of traffic in FH4 street scene rivals was much criticised. Rivals requires a level playing field for all drivers, and randomly spawning traffic removes it.
I can see your point, but now it’s just like the normal road racing rivals only at night. I also found the street scene rivals frustrating in parts, but that just had its appeal. Well, in the end I can’t change the developers’ decision. I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t a bug. Thanks for your answer.
Well, you could remove the traffic from the FH4 Rivals (travel to one of the DLCs, start it from there and is brings you back to the mainland to start it with no traffic) so it’s good they have removed it completely
Although I haven’t participated in any street scene rival events, I’m glad that they’ve removed the traffic because in single player, the AI traffic ALWAYS seem to spawn on the racing line I’m trying to take, sometimes directly on the apex and sometimes on the exit of corners, where my momentum pulls me out the turn and I have no chance of avoiding them without losing control.
It would be incredibly unfair if someone got a ‘percect’ run with no traffic, leaving everyone else repeatedly attempting the same race until they get a run with no interfering traffic.
Street Scene rival times only have meaning if everyone gets the same traffic every time. I assume the devs couldn’t easily do that, so they got rid of traffic. Fine with me. The point of rivals is to measure who’s quicker doing the identical route, including any traffic and obstacles.
