Streamlining Livery Selection For Owned Cars

When selecting a new car from the Autoshow, you are able to look at a livery, then back out to the selections, preview another, so on and so forth, before ultimately making a decision. Quick and easy, right?

But when looking at an owned car, you can not preview a design. You select one, it downloads and saves, and then is applied. But! What if you don’t like it? Now you have to go back to the creative hub, back to the design catalogue, and pick out a new one. This process feels sluggish, counter-intuitive, and is unnecessary.

The problem may have temporarily pushed back with the new file limits, but it will eventually become a problem again and again unless you take the effort to go back and manually delete every livery that you decided not to use.

So, you ask, what do we do about this?

I strongly suggest that choosing a design or livery at home/Horizon festival center is as streamlined and simple as when purchasing a car from the Autoshow, with previews available before making a final selection.

@Bringer0fSpoons To add to your suggestion, I propose the following:

  • When looking at a design in My Designs, there should be a label indicating which car it is for.
  • If you own one or more copies of that car, you should be able to preview and then optionally apply the design to a specific copy.
  • If you don’t own that car, and the car is in the Autoshow, you should be able to preview the design and then optionally buy that car with that design from the Autoshow.
  • If the car isn’t in the Autoshow, you should see a notice indicating how to get that car (Festival Playlist, Forzathon Shop, Wheelspin, Auction House).
