Still missing tire logos in 2017?

No one loves Forza more than I do, but for the life of me I cant understand why we cant get Tire logos on the race cars. After the NASCAR expansion I thought this would be standard, but after reviewing the E3 demo, it appears the GT cars still have zero tire logos on them. Both our competitors use tire logos but we still have none. Why is this such a big deal you may ask? Well I really enjoy watching slow-mo highlights of real world racing and seeing the tire logos spinning (in a slightly faster speed) its just a big part of the enjoyment for me (see video below)…

Even if Michelin somehow only chooses to grant licenses to Project Cars and Gran Turismo Sport, cant we put our own logos (just something that spins and doesn’t look so bare)…

Once again, Im not trying to knock the game and Im going to get the Ultimate Edition regardless (just like I always do), its just that I get frustrated when I see the competition flaunting the very thing Ive been wanting for so long…

Start video at 1:15 to see what Im refering to…

We may get a generic tire lettering like in Horizon 3.

That’s good enough for me tbh. But yeah, we could use some actual tire lettering, not just ‘Motorsport’ written on the tires.

Licensing and performance differences make this a moot argument. Including licensed tire brands has a cost associated with it. The more cost, the more expensive the game is to develop. Also, take Brand A’s tires and compare them to Brand B’s tires. Brand A is gripper than Brand B even if they are similar in application (lets go with track oriented tires for the sake of example), Brand B will think that their tire is better even if its scientifically proven that Brand A is in fact better. Brand B then goes after Microsoft and Turn10 for defamation. That turns into a whole slew of problems and Turn10 has the best solution, generic tires. No branding, everyone gets the same compound.
