Just put down my first time at a 2:12.577. Can’t wait to improve on this. Fantastic track and I love this car. This will definitely be my favorite challenge so far.
It seems the Digital Stigs time is irrelevant in this contest. Turn 10 should be posting the bubble time (10th) and the fight for the top time. I guess I’m missing how the Stig’s time plays in… Any help casting a light on this?
Good to see T10/Microsoft allow (almost) everyone to compete and get to the prizes… It used to be different “50 states of the USA only” on a lot of things, like the recent Honda-Challenges.
A 2.08.602 lap is quick lap in real life, this may take a bit to beat for some of us ‘time poor’ racers. 2.08.46 is Jamie Whincup’s fastest lap time, but CL has gone quicker in practice by 2 seconds.
If we can pull a “lap of the Gods” then it shouldn’t be an issue. Can we empty the fuel tank a little bit?
Oh, that car really don’t like me. Every lap it looks for an other wall to grind. I really can nail some parts (except first an last, I guess) but never all together in one clean lap
At the moment exactly 3 seconds behind the stig, may be unreachable for me, it looks like some kind of magic or voodoo ;D
But as I started with something around 2:15 some hours ago, I think I may still improve my actual time of 2:11,383
What I noticed, it is kind of sad, when other guys are improving at the same time, first I got one of the T10 guys (I think it was Triton), just to notice after I ended the race, he already improved. So back again. After I was past him, I tried SatNites ghost, got him, but he also improved and is now way ahead.
Posted a 2:09.914. I don’t mind the ass end sliding around but the way I drive this car it sometime lunges its front end towards the wall coming out of turns. I think I need to slow it down a bit and get smoother turn ins.
Great challenge even though I know I won’t set a top 10 I’m still going to try and break into the 2:08s.
Damn, these challenges are annoying me. First a nice track, a decent car and an opponent I had no chance of beating. Then a beloved track, the most shitty car in the whole game and a decent opponent. Now my most hated track, a good car and an opponent I will never ever beat. Think I will just move away from these events, they are nothing but frustrating.
Stig’s DLC ONLY Challenge should’ve been the title, would’ve made it a lot clearer.
So there’s an entry fee to this bit of fun?
You’re excluding people who bought the game to do this sort of thing so is it any wonder attitudes are a bit strained rd here at the moment? (this VIP membership…whats the point? I dont feel very important being excluded from these community challenges)
You could’ve just used a car we all had, raised a bit of interest & put a smile back on your communities faces to keep us occupied until we get these updates that will fix a few more ongoing bugs but no, we have this, dividing an already fractured community once more.
We’re all fans of the franchise on here (i still am despite my disappointing experience with this version) & should be all pulling in the same direction but we’re not currently, its all differing opinions that turn into arguments & until things straighten themselves out & we have a game resembling past versions you’re also not helping matters pulling stunts like this in the meantime.
I’m sure i’ll hear “but you dont have to, its a choice, no one is forcing you to.”…doesn’t make it any better or justifiable, its excluding people when you dont have to.
To enter the Contest you must be an Xbox Live free or Gold member in good standing and have access to an Xbox One console, access to the Xbox One game title “Forza Motorsport 5” and have the Top Gear Car Pack DLC. Some content will require purchase to download."
Why should they limit the challenges to full game only? People that buy DLC just got more value out of it.
I would have liked if they opened the car for everybody to use, and if you beat the time by the end, they give you the car pack for free. That is never going to happen though lol.
Whoops, I occasionally fall into that one, although, I would suggest if my current assumption that he/she is the ultimate drivatar is correct, then any gender specific pronoun would be irrelevant as ‘he’ or ‘she’ would actually be neither - or both.
Yes, you are supposed to be able to buy the car seperately. I tried buying the single car several times yesterday. It’s not listed seperately on the Marketplace (from the Home Screen) so had to do it from the Rivals Event when asked. Microsoft/T10 don’t want my money because in several regions I was unable to complete the transaction. And depending on the region I pay up to 30% more for digital downloads; something Microsoft should fix as well (local taxes are only 21% so unsure where the remaining 9% goes).
I do have to agree with some others though; making this event DLC-owners only, is beginning to show the true colors of in the modern days of gaming. I got FM, FM2, FM3, FM4, Horizon and FM5; all VIP/LCE where possible but over the years the DLC-greed from is only getting worse.
Am not a bad driver; managed to win a car on the previous Bounty Hunter event but there is no way I will attempt to buy the Holden again for an impossible shot at beating the usual suspects on this particular game/leaderboard. As of yesterday, when I looked, there were already 1284 times posted; even if 1 DLC car is only $1 (from the Season Pass conversion), this event already raked in $1284 for a total prize-draw of $200…
Oh come on now. The cost of games has gone up by about $10 in almost 20 years. If u have problems with buying dlc don’t buy it. I was disappointed at the release too but had some faith and have been impressed with their ability to take care of their community. There r other threads designated to your complaints.
