I just drove Forza 6 for the first time and was not impressed with the steering wheel of the cars subtle moving or shaking side to side, like old Codemasters sims used to do. I was wondering if anyone who has tried Forza 7 can tell me if it still has this effect if I was to consider buying it.
Yes. That’s the one. You see it wobble I think even on the cornering. It is not the the controller wheel I’m talking about but the wheel of the car your driving, on the screen. It does it with all the cars. What is it? Can you stop it? And is it still in the Forza 7 sim?
If this is an issue just set your inside steering axis deadzone to 1 (makes it just a little less sensitive at center). Fixes it for my DFGT. It works great now. This will usually work in most racing games if you are having the wobble effect while driving straight. The only game it doesn’t seem to work for is APEX for some strange reason.
Yes, that one. It looks like nothing you could do to stop it. Fixing the deadzone won’t help, it’ll make it worse you’de think. Not a good effect to have on car racing sim, although it is more arcade like, still it would not be asking for much for the designers to leave it out, unless it helps to improve latency or feedback to the forces of the controller. So it still has it in F7 then?
There is a new in car view that doesnt show the steering wheel in most cars, so if it is the animation that you are on ab out; in most cars it shouldn’t be an issue.
I like the dash view actually. The POV seems better and gives a better sensation of speed and more realistic FOV at least for my size tv (42") and how far from it I sit.
