Steering wheel patch?

Does anyone know if there will be a steering wheel patch/update to make wheels useable in this game ??
It feels rather poor compared to other titles on xbox one.
I have tried so many different setting and cannot find any that give me feeling, none that give me complete control.
I have very little trouble on other racing titles and can often take records when I play, but with this game its completely different.
There is no attachment through the tires to the tarmac, and no sense of grip… translated through the steering wheel.

Any specific steering wheel

Just waiting for a mate

I use the thrustmaster tx 458 italia, is a nightmare on forza 6 for me as I cannot find settings that seem to work :frowning:
I have good times on the leaderboards but they are all with a controller and fm6 is the only driving game I cannot use my wheel to compete.

Wish I could help you out here; unfortunately, I don’t play with a wheel though control on a pad is just about right - I know that’s irrelevant here.

I’d suggest you look up “Ialyrn” and send her a PM - she is an alleged expert on racing wheels and Forza physics. Give it a shot; you might find the sweet spot you’re looking for.

Are you also having issues with this wheel while playing F5 or H2?

I have the same wheel. My advice is to buy the new Dirt Rally, and play that until next month when we get Assetto Corsa. I’ve always loved Forza, but finally gave up on hoping they’d make wheels usable. About the only cars that work well with all assists off is the indy cars. They are truly a blast with a wheel.
You can play just fine with assists on, but what fun is that right? It’s never going to happen unfortunately, forza 6 is made for a gamepad… yuck…

I only drove the Indy Car in the demo on Indy oval so that was my only impression of the indy car, but it was terrible. There is so much margin for error. Full throttle the entire time. Those indy cars don’t even have power steering, 230 mph with no power steering, no way it felt realistic in the demo.

There’s a pinned thread at the top of the page discussing wheels http://forums.forza.net/turn10_postst41479_Steering-Wheels-and-You---A-Hopefully-Helpful-Guide.aspx

That is a good thread for information from multiple people. Takes sometime to shift through but there are useful suggestions in there.

Currently I am using my wheel on 270 DOR, Outside deadzone of 20 and sensitivity 4 for my preferred feel for the cars. Still not perfect.

I have the Thrustmaster TX 458 Italia, and the setting that works best for me is 540 degree on the wheel and in game, wheel sensitivity on 2, steering on simulation, in game dead zones set to 1 and 100, and ff set to max. Only thing I find lacking is the road feel while driving straight at high speeds like in assetto corsa.

I tried everything in the world to make this game playable with the TX wheel and it always just felt off so finally I gave in and bought a Fanatec CSW V2 and an Xbox one hub with the Forza wheel . I was already using a set of Clubsport pedals with the CPX adapter so I didn’t have to buy pedals. It’s a night and day difference. No center FFB deadzone and the wheel just feels alive compared to the Thrustmaster for some reason. I hated the way the TX just felt dead until starting to turn in and the FFB just felt like it would switch on. Makes it really hard to turn into corners in most cars. The TX doesn’t lag too far behind the Fanatec in other games and sims but in Forza the Fanatec is just on a whole other level for me. I play a lot of sims so it’ll get plenty of use. If you have the extra scratch or play other sims as well then it’s a worthy upgrade for sure.

Regardless of wheels, T10 urgently need to come up with a patch for wheels.

Just changing wheel settings is not going to fix anything and Forza at the moment is seriously lacking behind all the competition when it comes to FFB Racing games. What makes it worse is that the FFB has somehow got worse that both Forza Horizon 2 and Forza Motorsport 5 which shouldn’t be a thing.

I’ve tried contacting people as well but it seems we will never receive a response or something that will be done about it.

Exactly, this is essential to keep up with recent games released.

100% in agreement, i have also tried to contact them a couple of times.

The one thing i feel that has made the ffb feel worse to predecessors is they’ve added a very heavy damper on the steering. There is a huge lack of raw information coming through the ffb, and the wheel just feels very disconnected (most noticeable when trying to drift aggressively) with the cars, it basically turns the fun factor of having a wheel into a frustration factor.

^^^^ I agree! To really get the most out of your wheel, try others sims coming to Xbox one.

The FFB is non-existent compared to other games I’ve played on a wheel (project cars, F1 2015) Which is surprising because this game feels great with a controller.

Deadzones reverting back to default settings continues to be a problem (when pressing Xbox button) never has been patched… Makes it impossible for a consistent experience…

Yeah it’s pretty lifeless and to be honest I think that it’s just the physics they use. I know that PCARS gets a bad rap, but if you think about how much math is going on in the background for the physics it makes sense that the graphics aren’t going to be as good as FM6. There’s just only so much processing power and I think that many people play without a wheel so it doesn’t make a ton of sense to divert a ton of processing power from the graphics to the tire model when it’s only going to benefit a minority of users.

I do wish that they would fix it, but I’ve resigned myself to just accepting it for what it is. I cannot fix it no matter how much I wish it was different and the choice is either stop playing or just settle for what it is which is still relatively fun. If I want a hardcore, seat of the pants race where I am sweaty afterwards I fire up PCARS or Dirt Rally.

The guy in charge of the wheels either quit or got fired theres not going to be any kind of patch.

You really think one single person is in charge of something as large as this?
