Allow the simultaneous use of a steering wheel and keyboard (on console), so a the keyboard can be used as a button box.
This can be done in F1 2022.
Yes Pleeeease!?!
I’ll go one step further and ask to let s use any input device simultaneously. I found this to be very useful in games that allow it. For example, in “The Crew 2”, I’m able to use controller and my pedals at the same time without one device overriding the other.
There are times when I like to play Forza with controller, but due to a disability, I’m unable to do so for longer periods of time because using the controller triggers makes my right hand become numb. It would very useful to be able to steer with my controller and accelerate and brake with my pedals without one interfering with the other.
I think that is a bit of wishful thinking: keyboard has it’s own separate function as a button box, it is an Xbox game adapted to PC, you don’t have that many controls.
No onboard ABS nor TC settings in realistic cars that would use those, or MGU-K in hypercars etc… not to mention no brake bias adjustment.
In my Fanatec Formula F1 Blue Alcantara wheel, half of the buttons won’t find anything useful to do.
But I think you should be able to use pedal wheel and controler, you just need to bind it in the respective input menu.
I have heusinkveld pedals, a fanatec dd1 wheelbase, and a thrustmaster TH8A Hpatter gear shifter. I am able to sucesfully bind all them together and I use them together at the same time.
Actually the support on Forza Motorsport is really good regarding detecting and configuring inputs from various devices from many brands.
I’ve only had problems in really old games or really bad games where they are designed without analog wheel inputs in mind. Maybe just keyboard or controllers.
