Series X here. Standard Xbox controller.
For the first few degrees of motion, there is no response. It’s as if the centre has an invisible 5-7% deadzone and cars respond very lazily around the centre. Why is this the case?
Cars felt very responsive around the centre in previous FM games. Now it seems you need over 25% analogue stick travel just to quickly change lanes? Or the fact that you have to jam the stick all the way to either side while negotiating even mid-high speed turns.
The pad steering needs to be looked at.
I’ve tried three pads. Same results. Pad steering is responsive in ALL other racing games but FM 23 has this irritating deadzone area and cars steering lazily. Give us steering speed and speed sensitivity settings or make the pad steering responsive like it should. The steering and front wheel grip or understeer characteristic are not realistic sorry. Unnecessary understeer.
My deadzones are 0/100. Steering self alignment is 60. I’ve tried lower and higher settings, no difference. Sim steering is on. All assists/aids off.
