Pretty much the whole reason I’ve all but stopped playing FH4 is because anytime I want to create a new tune, I have to first delete an existing tune, or face the dreaded “Too Many Saves” message. I ended up deleting one of my Bowler tunes in FH4 and saw a sudden halt to daily downloads, (which is another gripe I know, but there’s no reason we shouldn’t be able to see likes, uses & downloads for specific tunes).
With FH5 starting out with challenges so vehicle-specific, I’m hoping they increase the amount of saved tunes we can have. I’d be willing to give up all my clothes, prosthetic limbs, horns, kudos, emotes, and linked phrases in exchange for more saved tunes. Tunes are by far my favorite part of this game. Tweaking stuff, testing, racing, re-tweaking, etc. It’s completely backwards that we are allowed more vehicles than tunes, especially when I can have several different tunes for the same vehicle.
Anybody have a definitive answer regarding how many saved tunes we can have? I’m just guessing 500, but I really have no idea.
I’ve already maxed out tunes, no idea what the total limit is though. Photo saves at limit, too; feels like a lot fewer than previous titles. However, I do share the same anxiety for liveries. Now every time I download one, I lean in and hold my breath praying I don’t get the overlimit message pop-up. Applying someone else’s paint shouldn’t feel so harrowing…
Had this issue for over a year in FH4 - never got a resolve despite many tickets.
sent several on the same issue on FH5 just to ask what the tune max was - still no answer - yes, again getting a bit of squeaky bum time on this being yet another issue about to drop. Hope the squeakes clear up before it happens.
One of the chores is photograph all cars, which I think is somewhere around 582. Another complete waste of space IMHO. Although I’m not into the photography part of this game, I do appreciate that there are many people who are, yet they’re already handicapped if they complete the accolade achievement of taking pics of all cars. Let’s just say there’s a max of 750 pics allowance, (although I have no real idea), that would leave just 168 pics to take for ones own enjoyment.
If you download a second copy of your shared tune the new copy will have the stats. Then you can delete the original that does not have the stats without interrupting the share. This works in fh4 too.
Had the same thing in FH4 where it was saving muliple tunes that I’d already deleted. The same thing is happening in FH5. Made a tune , made another of the same car with with a new save. redownloaded the old save and deleted it which said it was now unshared - behold ! both are still there !!!
Bugged as usual…
“By Design” in FH4 when they bumped saves a bit.
Favorite others tunes used, then delete. Saves room for stuff you haven’t tuned.
Personal shared tunes problematic. Check downloads and dump less popular ones. Easy when you’re not end user. Guess tuner’s time is worthless to designers.
Problem is I bought them for a reason - I want to use them.
Less of an issue in FH5 I suppose where you sometimes have to buy a tune just to do a PR stunt - ridiculous idea.
At least those can go.
You keep tune on car. You just delete from my tunes, goes into favorites. No memory used. You can swap tunes by going to faves and they’re there to re download if need be, or use second/third cars and same trick with favorites.
I found that in FH4 when I hit limit. Tried on tune I could easily locate and put on favorites, installed, and deleted tune. Still had tuned car. Hope that makes sense.
Sorry but like I said - I’ve done this in FH4 and FH5. The tunes are still there in the ether using up slots even though they’re no longer in the garage.
If you go to the car, then a search in tuning for your own gamertag you’ll still see them even when not marked as Favs.
When I hit the limit in FH4 I did this but the “too many saves” was always still there.
In some cases I only had one in the garage but still 10 or more hiding in the background that I had already deleted.
They clearly need to sort that bit out and also increase the number of saves in general. Ideally you would want to have about 3 or 4 tunes available for the car for different events and if the car limit is 600 odd, even if you only use about 1 or 200 cars that’s a lot of slots needed.
if we get same amount of cars like in fh4 or maybe more
let say 800 cars
I may want 3 or 4 tunes for each car so I should have 3200 free slots to save a tune…
for liveries maybe 2000 slots are enough
and because of horizon promo a minimum of 1000 slots for fotos as well…
yes and this is what I call a gamedesignfailure because the game wants me to do so like I would do fotos… this is just weird…
and I ask who gets those ideas like creating a foto grinding challenge while knowing that the player is not able to save all the fotos… it just don’t make any sense
Worst part is you can save as many as you want (barring limits) but if nobody views / likes them it’s pointless. Yet another ridiculous thing that relies on other people’s generosity which is few and far between in most cases. Stop making challenges / Accolades that need other people to make it happen !
I have a problem with tunes and Liveries. Tunes are not as bad for me as if you delete the tune from the “My tunes” section it stays on the car … Liveries you cant and finding which one to delete in a massive list is a royal pain in the bum. It would be better if there was a “My livery” section in the car but that’s a different problem.
I am guessing there is 500 limit . They keep releasing cars (which is a GOOD thing) but if you have a Few tunes on a car, or in my case, I might have 2 (or more) cars of the same type one for dirt and one for road and I use a different livery to visually make them different then 500 is a really low number.
Agreed. I keep watching them add all these needless features while some of the fundamental aspects are being ignored. I can’t believe I haven’t reached my limit yet for tunes. Each time I try to save a new tune though, I hold my breath.
Still haven’t received a definitive answer as to the cap, (unless I missed it).
