New season and its kinda fast one
Not really a S2 or X class lover, but if needs must, So the trial and road racing with S2 998 cars from UK, actually did two test runs, to see if Lotus Elise GT1 is so much better then McLaren P1 and it is.
So Lotus it was and I got 1st, 2nd (lost to drivatar, because of my horrible driving) and 1st again, 3:0 for team (one quitter at the start and one just along for the ride in stock Aston).
Lotus Elise GT1, tune - 112 480 550
or McLaren P1, tune - 140 127 071
or McLaren Senna, tune - 462 648 595
or Aston Martin Vulcan FE, tune - 798 814 704
or TVR Cerbera Speed 12, tune - 578 262 162

Now to solo championships and starting with some more road racing, this time with S2 998, with cars from Denmark and Sweden
Koenigsegg CCGT, tune - 139 406 798
or Koenigsegg Agera, tune - 543 885 130
or Lego Senna, tune - 116 570 447

Next to street scene and its with S2 998 extreme track toys
Ferrari F40 Competizione, tune - 149 006 868
or Koenigsegg CCGT, tune - 139 406 798
or TVR Cerbera Speed 12, tune - 578 262 162
or Appolo Intensa Emozione, tune - 469 114 357

Finishing with more road racing, this time a bit slower - S1 900 Ferraris
Ferrari Portofino, tune - 402 894 592
or Ferrari 488 GTB. tune - 163 570 108
or Ferrari 288 GTO, tune - 226 276 194

PR stunts as always done with Koenigsegg Agera RS, tune - 167 849 655 for danger sign and speed trap, used Hoonigan Ford RS200, tune - (S2) 428 155 751 or (X) 844 946 838 for dirt speed zone.
Or Mosler MT900S, tune - 148 148 788 for speed trap and danger sign, might also work for speed zone.

Weekly Forzathon car is one from track toys. I used Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR, S1 900 tune - 185 778 532, went to easiest speed zone - Forest Green, then went wild on the beach, while listening to skill song for skill points and randomly completed some of road circuit races.

Weekly Super 7 reward is Peugeot 205 FE

Hope this is of any help to somebody, take care everyone and as always … have fun :), bb

… now to unstick myself from the chair …

That Lotus tune is tremendous - so easy to drive for an S2. 2 wins and a 3rd for me, with the rest of the team having bailed before the end of race 2. Thanks!

The Levante! Finally! I can’t remember the last time it was available to win/buy

Fast races alright, especially if you come up against a Lego car… I hate that!

I know what you mean. I ended up racing a Lego Chiron that kept screaming off into first place, but I would catch it on the corners.

I had the exact same experience. The S2 AI is pretty dumb where it goes crazily fast in a straight line but you can always outbreak or just turn better than them in corners. Easiest way to beat the AI.

I saw quite a few bits fly off the Lego car when I crushed it on a bend.

Yep, totally agree. I won’t be revisiting this weeks Trial again. I don’t like S2 that much anyway but the behaviour of some drivers makes it infuriating.

The barge, ram and smash your way through mentallity at the beginning of races is annoying but what gets me is the selfish and arrogant drivers who race the AM Vulcans.

I get that they are in a fast car but constantly ramming a driver from behind and blowing their horn just makes them look like idiots (btw i do usually move over for faster drivers when it is possible but not when i am going around a corner or through chicanes).

They have never learnt what a team is because they are rude, selfish brats who probably have had everything given them without question their entire life.

Anyway, after persisting with about 5 Trials, my suggested cars would be: McLaren Senna, AM DB PO and (if driven by competent and thoughtful drivers) the AM Vulcan FE.

I would have tested more but got sick of the idiot drivers i was encountering.

I haven’t really liked this months Seasons to be honest, maybe next month will be better, then again i am counting down the days when i can ditch FH4 and get stuck into FH5 :+1:

…you can get stuck into FH5 and experience a whole new generation of selfish, spoiled brats!! Are you sure you are looking forward to it? lmao

What is so sad is that that is actually true…

I do think the game is largely at fault for this. What’s the easiest way to win in single player - barge your way past the drivatars. There’s no penalty for racing like that in game, so it’s seen as okay. You then get inexperienced players racing high powered cars, with no clue what they are doing. Yes, you’d expect them to still have some basic concept of teamwork but it’s quite tough to expect them to totally change a driving style which works in single player.

It would be good if FH5 had some way of making players learn basic driving skills in the single player game. I think it would make a massive difference when it then came to multiplayer.

Agree, but those pesky buggers won’t leave me alone though :frowning:

The Trial was probably the most frustrating I have experienced in ages. I took my at least 4 - 5 times to complete which is very unusual.

Not helped as pointed out by just being totally rammed and smashed off track. At one point it was laughable - just a massive carnage fest.

I get that these are high speed high class races and it can be hard controlling the car sometimes but one the Bamburugh Castle track getting totally pummelled into the wall by the village when your other team can’t brake properly is not my idea of fun.

I would have skipped it if it were not for the fact I didn’t have the Bentley Turbo.

S2 always highlights a skill gap in the player base. The majority have very little idea how to drive those cars, particularly if they’ve got RWD drivetrains. I did the trial twice yesterday and the driving was mind-numbing bad until you get clear of the pack.

Still, the actual event is good. I don’t know what the actual best car choice would be but these are all very strong options taken from my S2 list:

McLaren F1 GT - nfx6621 wet tune
Vulcan FE - C0DCAOS
BAC Mono - Rocklxd
Lotus GT1 - C0DCAOS
McLaren 720 PO - Tdu1platinummod
McLaren Senna - Nalak28

I used the Speedtail but I wouldn’t recommend that :joy:!

Didn’t get around to the GT’s, nice tune choices.

Little tip:
you can complete the fourth part of weekly challenge winning one circuit race with lotus Elise gt1 in trial and two circuit races in the Ferrari track toys champinship using 488 pista depowered to S1 (very good car in that class).

I thought about comboing the weekly with the “Luxury Getaway” championship, but the two circuits are Ambleside and Festival Circuit. I can win those in S1, but it’s not guaranteed. I went with Holyrood and the two up by Lakehurst.

Grinding for a million skill points was tedious, and I ended up taking a break to go do the PR stunts and the showcase remix, just to keep myself interested.

The last time the Chevy was up for the remix, it was a breeze. I was always neck and neck with the hovercraft, and could have overtaken it if it wasn’t scripted to cross the track at certain points, causing it to block my path, or bump into me. But this time was not at all the same. The Chevy seemed sluggish for some reason, and I barely squeaked by at the finish line.
