Spoiler question about finales

SPOILERS

So I’ve beaten the finale part 2, and now after every championship I beat I have to beat another finale. The guy who calls you mate hasn’t said anything about more finales, but after every championship I beat I then have to finish in the top 3 of this 14 minute race, and it’s sort of annoying. Is this supposed to happen? Finales were not a dime a dozen, and now they are. I’ve looked around for other endgame discussions, but there don’t seem to be any. Sort of a let down. The finales are fun, but I’d rather spend my time using a bunch of different cars in different races than one long one. Anyone know if it’s possible to change this?

first finale:
do a long ridiculous race that is about the size of the Nurb 24h I believe
second one:
Do a second race with ben four places above you (for mine he was in a 984 Enzo, as I was in a 984 Z4 sdrive)
